holy narrow minded batman. if you knew anything about the BDSM community you'd know that DIRTY is a no no. that is if you meant it literally :kam: Not all fetishes or kinks are scary and "dirty". It could be as innocent as enjoying watching your lover undress, or as different or disturbing to other people as being tortured in certain ways. By the sounds of your post you've lumped fetishist and kinkists (haha yeah I know thats not a word) in with pedophiles and maniacs. Last edited by MistressSpankME; Jul 31, 03 at 03:30 PM. |

this is getting pointless. We've gone back and forth too much and I've messed up all your posts by the looks of it. Because as far as I know I have read your posts and responded accordingly, yet you don't seem to think so so lets just drop it before my head explodes haha.
That was an unorganized debate that went badly wrong, but I'm also not going to change my mind because your opinion is the same of those that put on the fetish nights in this city. |

Yeah, whatever, There is lots of gray areas in this topic. 's why I brought it up in the first place.
And for the people I asked, I think it's a matter of convenience for them, so that they can categorize people. ie. he's fetishy or he's kinky hehe **hugs |

^ agreed.
And I just realized something.. Maybe I am taking the word fetishist the wrong way. I can have fetishes without being a fetishist, right? Maybe a fetishist is the most extreme of "fetish havers" so in that case, I'm not a fetishist but a kinky person with many fetishes haha. it all makes sense now, i hope haha |

I have fetishes trust me, I know enough to know that. I'm not fully consumed by them or have fully displaced ALL sexual arrousal or gratification to my fetishes. Which would in turn make me a fetishsit by "THE" terms. So in my understanding, you know being ME and all, I do have fetishes whether I can get off without them or not. And if you could take a look inside my head, or my closet *giggles*, then it would be clear to you as well. Last edited by MistressSpankME; Jul 31, 03 at 03:45 PM. |

Yeah, I know very little about you-- I'm also convinced that there is another type of fetish. A non-sexual fetish. I mean, fawk, my roomate has like 50 pairs of girly shoes, and she doesn't need to fondle them to get off, but she sure gets off (ina non-sexual way) on wearing/touching/buying her shoes. |

^^yeah yeah, It's not like I'm going to be wearing the contents of my dungeon outside, either-- BUT I might just wear a meta-vest out to a party to show you kiddys!

i look at this thread and see two very different things.
from reading a handful of previous posts, i see someone starting a thread for the soul purpose of shock value and attention seeking purposes. on the other hand, from past posts included, i see someone trying to encourage thoughts and ideas that may have previously remained as 'taboo' or off limits in peoples minds. while one flat out announces things, taking on the appearance of a 'shove-it-down-your-throat' attitude, the other provides a logical intelligent conversation. you two are on extremely different wavelengths and this conersation is as good as veto'd. |

I now admit there are grey areas when it comes to those word uses I think that maybe it's my Style of posting you don't like, but I can assure you I DO mean well |

I never changed my mind about anything, I just was just using the wrong definition of fetishist throughout some of my arguments. I realized on my own (well, because of the debate) that I was looking at the word the wrong way, this
