less like a man???
This question could be for either boys or girls --
How do you think you would feel if you found out your partner had slept with like twice as many people as you, what if it was three or four times as many people? Do you see them as simply more experienced -or as slightly loose moraled? One of my closest male friends just hit the 50 mark...and I'm imagining if he ever shares that number with a girlfriend that it must be sort of scarey But then I think, if I loved him - I wouldn't really care (as long as he could prove he was CLEAN in the STD department) But what if it was reverse? What a male had a girliefriend who'd slept with 50 and he'd only slept with like 7 - would he feel less like a man??? Well?

second ya the first girl i ever pounded had been with 13 guys and i was sitting at the big O and ya it made me feel like a bitch but now there arnt many girls that can do that anymore. And if a girl asks me how many girls ive been with the answear is always 5.....

the 50 mark isn't that bad for guys.
i had some friends that hit that in grade 10. its sad but true, that if a girl hits that mark, she is seen as a slut, but for guys, he's seen as a pimp, so to speak. like whatshisface said, lie and just say 10 or something. then if it gets much more serious down the road, tell them the truth. most of the time, its just another notch on the bed post, so who cares. None of the guys that I've ever been with has had really "scary" numbers...As for me, mine aren't really that high...I have significantly more than my man, and I think it bothered him at the beginning, but he's okay with it now.

this is def. a touchy subject...
i told one of my ex's [who shall remain nameless] and as it turned out i had been with more people then they had [and by more i don't mean anywhere near 50...not even close] and i could tell that it bothered him that i had been with more people.... eventually it became a tool to try to hurt me with... "you're such a slut...blah blah blah" eventhough it's far from slut-level.... so? was he just insecure? of course....is he alone? of course not. it's so stupid that this can only be asked this way.... because i know that as a female, if a guy has slept with more people then me, i'm almost relieved, and it's not a huge deal. [within reason of course...i'm not going anywhere near a guy who's been with ten times as many women as i have men...ewww*]. ugh* traditional thought process.

If you were serious about the person why would this question even come up?
To what purpose does it serve if you knew how many people your partner slept with? If you are concerned if s/he is clean or not just ask that instead.
