Yeah bud sorry, going a biiit to far there, i played CAL-M and CAL-O for a total of two seasons (one year) in Counter-Strike Source. I practiced 3 times a week and had a match once weekly for almost a straight year. Even got free computer equipment out of our Strat caller who had a computer shop.
At the time i was only 17 but i had my own website and serveral servers. I ran all of these on my own, and was responsible for my clan both cal and competitive pub, which had a combined total of 30 or so members.
The managerial skills i picked up from this were of great value to me, and the web development skills i aquired simply through pursuit of pleasure were great contributations to my personal portfolio.
However, even in stressful matches, or during confrontations between members ect, i would never consider it to be more stressful then work, in any occasion.
I agree that you can get some character building skills from games, but to try and apply it as being more useful then sports or school ect, or claiming its harder then work.. is a loooooong loooooong stretch.
