SOMEONE find me SERATO SCRATCH LIVE
im sick of hauling around 2-300 records for hip hop gigs.
i`d rather rock both vinyl & serato. so who knows of the best prices / places?

haha i knew this would be a skeptical decision.
I was and still am against using serato..but after seeing wut it can do , I came to the conclusion that using both vinyl & serato would be a good idea. Vinyl for the blends/acapellas/remixes etc. Serato for the hits/double action/shit u cant find anymore For me personally .. buying 10 - 15 records every 2 weeks to keep updated in commercial hip hop is a bit hard at times. The pool helps, but just seeing wut Serato can do just amazes me. Im gonna jus buy the program for now off Long & Mcquade .. rock it off my computer at home for a while . see how it is. If i`m likin it a lot -- then its time for the Apple.

is this product better than Stanton Final Scratch? Ive never heard of Serato Scratch until now, but am very interested in both products.

How so? They both have the same layouts and do teh exactly same thing. The only difference is that Final Scratch has some bugs still... Actually Final Scratch can hook up with Traktor and you can record your sets live too. Serato cant do that. I think Final scratch has more things you can do with it but its the bug issue that is the downer.

i shouldnt actually be judging it tho .. i have never used it . Im takin advice off a another dj friend of mine. He owns serato now and says its crystal clear compared to the other programs such as final scratch. does Final Scratch lag at all? Thats also shit that serato doesnt include the recording option. That would be very useful.

still debating on either a G4, G3 or just a simple PC. system requires a minimum G4 -- but i`ve heard lots of feedback on ppl operating w/ higher end PC`s just fine. why waste all that $$$ on an apple - - i`m gonna buy which ever one on the weekend. anyone got hookups?

^ ya this program is insane.
never actually tried final scratch or traktor.. heard good things tho. I jus found out now you can actually record sets thru serato as well. Theres some ridiculous other options also that are mind blowing. im still addicted to this thing.
