My cat disappeared & I put a notice on the delivery mailboxes - the kind ppl need to check every day for their mail so they will see the notice, but maybe they don't have those in your area. That worked, someone knew what happened and phoned me, but it was bad news. Still at least I found out what happened.
Hope you get your cat back! Crossing fingers now. X X |

if you call your local newspaper they will run a free lost ad for a week I believe.
edit* make sure you call all the animal shelters and stuff in your area, also try calling vets and leave them with a desrciption of your kitty.. |

In addition to "Lost" posters, you might want to also try making little "lost kitty" cards with your cat's pic on it (fit 9 on a page and cut em out). Go around to houses in your neighbourhood and just tape the cards to people's mailboxes. Also doesn't hurt to offer a reward.
Good luck, I hope he shows up! |

Shitty deal , when I lived in white rock , my indoor cat got out. She didn't have front claws and I was pretty sure she was gone for good. She turned up at my door a few days later. Hopefully the same happens for you. Good luck. It's a good idea to spend the money and get your cat a collar with an ID tag and a tatoo in their ear.

Back when I lived in a house my kitty wandered off for 3 days and I was more devastated with each passing day; happily she returned on her own, safe and sound.
More thoughts/ideas to try and reunite you and Diesel... - if you don't have someone home 24/7, speak to your next door neighboors, so that if he's coming home or eating the food left out for him when you're not home they'll know to alert you...since so many cats are allowed outdoors it may not seem out of place to them if they saw him - also try knocking on doors on your block, for the same reason and also because your presence may make them think, even for a moment, whereas a sign may be glossed over by the one person who can be of help...also, if you think lots of your neighboors may not speak/understand english, see if you can bring a friend along who may share their language (with no english, someone could just as easily think your poster is "cat for sale" instead of "lost")... - try to think like a cat...are there other places he could have gone...nearby park/playground, etc...or is there something that would have particularly frightened him...for example, if the house next door has a large & vocal dog, maybe she ran in the opposite direction of it - if feasible, set a camcorder or webcam up overlooking the food you've left for him, so you can find out who has been eating it when you're not home Best of luck! |

try looking late at night, after midnight when the streets are totally quite. there has been a few lasts (last night included) that my cat has not come home. i worry and take a walk, while walking i call out his name and do the kitty call. works everytime for me. i also always notice a few other cats that i never see in the day time.

Look in places around your house that he might hide because he's scared, my cat got out and he just went and hide until we found him. I think he was more so terrified than anything. take walks regularly at night to look for him, like the pesron above said and then also look around in the morning because cats usually are up during night time hours and go back to their place when it's morning is because they like to sleep all day, I know mine does at least.
I hope you find him, just keep calling, don't lose hope and don't give up |
