The school shootings in Montreal....
Has anybody else been watching/listening to the news.
I just started and couldnt believe my eyes. Apparently 4 dead (said on the news)(one may have shot himself) and up to 16 injured :( edit: that article says different, its all a confusion Last edited by PwInCeSs; Sep 13, 06 at 12:48 PM.

why is it scary?
people should stop comparing countries and saying 'it could never happen here' it's just as easy to get a gun in canada as it is in usa, and some canadian kids out there have the capability to do horrible things, just like american kids.

The confrence has said that one suspect has died, killed after the police came in.
8 people are in critical condition in Montreal Genneral with a total of 4 patients. I believe there are other patients at other hospitals. I completely agree with Carrie this happens everywhere its just so sick that someone could wake up in the morning and decide to do this.

I don't know what goes on in kids head these days that would make them dislike/hate someone (or many ppl) to get up and decide to hurt them like this.
this doesn't just hurt the ppl that got shot, it hurts their friends and families and even the shooters friends and families and everyday ppl like you or me

my girlfriend bianca jus told me that she didnt have class 2day..
but her friends did and they were standing beside people that were getting shot one of her gf's got shot.. she was trapped in one of the classroom's.. but she is alive and in the hospital right now.. fuck man.. i need to hear from my other friends see if they're safe. :( my old school was right near dawson :(

thats u.. have u ever had someone threaten to kill u? say they kno where u live.. follow u home? when i lived in Montreal i had the worst time in school there.. people are HARSH out there.. especially bullying.. so you can't really compare ur experience to whatever these people went thru.. maybe they had a really tough time.. maybe they didnt.. im not making excuses.. u jus sometimes gotta put urselves in their shoes.. i was having a tough time in Montreal.. it was my first yr at a new school.. it was also the same yr columbine happened.. everyone that bugged me stopped.. becuz they bugged me so bad that after columbine happened they kne that i couldve done the same. some people have mental illness'.. that they themselves dunno about.. im only finding out things bout myself now.. I know I've had my problems growing up, just wondering what problems they had and why they couldn't deal with it in a non violent way.

Just got home and got off the phone with my mother.... My cousin's Zara and John along with John's GF Jennifer all attend Dawson College and were at the location of the shooting... I'm greatful to know that they are all doing fine... None of them are hurt however Zara is a little emotional distraught considering this is her first year of college. John knows of 4 of the people who got shot... They all heard the shots go off and bolted out of the door... Thankfully they were in locations in the building that they were able to exit the facility. Since the whole place is taped off they walked over to my grandma's place which is on the other side of downtown montreal.

Sure it can happen everywhere, but there are some places that you are supposed to feel safe, and a school would be one of them. This doesnt happen very often, but there is a chance it could at any time, all it takes is one mentally ill person that has a grudge.. too bad those poor people got in the middle of his rampage and were killed..

just because the laws are different, or something isn't legal doesn't mean it's not possible to get a gun in Canada.
what about all the club shooting in Vancouver? are any of those people legal gun owners? NO. So they must have gotten a gun illegally... probably the same way drugs get into our country. ps there are a lot of shotgun owners in deer country! guns get stolen, guns get smuggled.
