Tiesto Email
i just recieved this from Tiesto. it was sent to all Tiesto fan club members.
I have spent the last two weeks in the U.S.A. I had an epic time with four great shows. I spent a couple of days in Tahoe, went to Austin Texas, a festival in Chicago, the Global festival at the Palms hotel in Vegas where I also had some time off. Every night I went out with the promoter of the city I was in and most of them where bringing up the DJ Magazine top 100 voting. It's a big thing for most of the promoters and most of them will book DJ's that are high on this list. That made me think, because if that's the case the voting is important. Especially to breed new talent. There are so many new great young DJ's out there that I feel it's time to give them a chance. I appreciate all the love and support I get from all over the world but I won this award three times so if I would win it a fourth time, it wouldn't make a difference for my career. For the new talented DJ's around the world it could make a difference, so I would like to ask all the people who support me to vote for new talent. Don't vote for me, vote for the new breed! just voted myself and my personal top 5 is: 1.Eddie Halliwell 2.Sander van Doorn 3.Serge Devant 4.Blake Jarrell 5.Richard Durand Thanks again to everybody who came to my shows and who bought the new single 'dance4life'! thats a pretty classy move, however what confuses me is why he would comment on getting out into the cities and really doing the regular joe thing. if he really didnt want to win he would just ring up mixmag, drop em a sack of money and pick his spot like they do in the top 5 every year. I bet he has a lot of people laughing at him for this one.

The funny thing is this email was sent well after official voting began, which is also well after all his fanboys flooded the polls early on to give him an early lead.
If he was really sincere about it (although, I do suspect there IS a little sincerity), he'd have sent that email before voting started so his little cult wouldn't instinctively start voting for him the moment they could.
