Getting your own US Patent number!!

Well.. A couple of days ago I got an email from my lawyer stating that in the next 3 months I should be receiving a patent number for the design! :118:

Now that's a birthday present if I ever heard of one!

ughgh, patents!.

right now im working on patenting a product. it has to do with traveling equipment, anyways. its like 4000 just for a northamerican patent....never mind a world wide one.

i swear..what a hassel.

It's not cheap to protect your idea.

I've spent a few thousand just getting the paperwork filed for patent rights in Europe and North America.

For the US one it the final patent fee costs $400US and you get to have the patent for 14 years.
