an alarm station can not dispatch/call/advise vpd until someone authorized on your account has been contacted, and this someone has given the alarm station an e.t.a. to when they arrive at your house. of course that's provided you've bought yourself an alarm permit first. without that your alarm company can't even legally phone vpd. and too many false alarms? vpd will gladly leave you fines. /hidden fees are fun, you're better off having a good list of neighbours or friends that can check on the house for you if you aren't able to attend. 99% of the time 45mins is the fastest time for vpd to arrive. *the rest of the gvrd pd/rcmp arrives for home alarms at best is about 30-40mins too. it's only quicker by dumb luck. if it's a busy night, ie: fridays or halloween or just some weird random busy night, i wouldn't hold my breath if i were you. /works for the largest private security company in b.c. //i'd recommend us, but we're cheap and i have no deals.
