modeled by the super thin audrey hepburn brought back from the grave. now i see in october georgia straight the levi's 509 black tuff skinny. there aren't many naturally thin girls around. how many pairs of jeans are they gunna sell? . |

I love skinny jeans. :)
I bought a pair in Australia last winter, and when I wore them here this spring everybody was all "what the fuck are those?!". I told you all they would happen here! Not that I'm much of a trend follower, but they suit me, they're comfy and fun. I'm milking the shit out of this one. |

^some of us just are skinny ok?
*tangent coming up here* On this note, we've pretty much established in our society that it's not ok to bring up a fat woman's weight, especially a stranger's. SO WHY IS MY BODY AN ACCEPTABLE TOPIC FOR PUBLIC CONVERSATION? On a daily basis I have girls asking me for diet tips, making rude "do you throw up your food" comments, telling me to "eat a sandwich" etc. I don't diet, I eat a healthy balanced variety (which includes burgers, ice cream and ranch dip thanks) and exercise for me is walking 15 blocks to the skytrain. When I am a customer at the store you are working at it's not ok to say "Ohmigod you're so skinny, you bitch!" It's genetic, and screaming about it like that is not a compliment. Oh and PS - why is it that if I order a large coke, the clerk looks at me and goes "diet coke right?" Now when did I say "diet"? The word "diet" never crossed my mind. I hate aspartame, why does everyone assume diet dammit?! |

Or ask any guy who’s trying to play on the football team, or gets bullied, or needs to impress fucked up parents, how he feels about being skinny. The existence of both words (skinny, fat) proves that whatever frame you rock, the world is still fucking obsessed with superficialities and your will be effected in some negative fashion at some point in your life, simply because of your physical appearance. |

I have no problem with girls who are NATURALLY skinny... hey, you've got GREAT genes!
But I do have issues with the girls who ARE weight obsessed and a size 5. I know I will never be anything less than a size 7 because of my bone structure... I'm confortable with my weight ... I'm a size 11 pants... medium in shirts, about 145lbs and 5 feet 5 inches... Call me fat if you want, it won't bother me! Because I know that I barely exercise (I walk about 20 minutes to/from the sky train daily) and when I do have my "I'm going to shape up!" moments, they last for about a week. Either way... skinny jeans look good on some people. I for one know that they should never make them in my size, I'd look fucking rediculous in them. For the girls who can pull it off and don't kill themselves trying to maintain that weight, good for you. I just hope this doesn't turn into a low-rise obsession (I think someone mentioned that already in this thread). Christ, even I know I can't pull off lowrise! *eats pudding* |

And it doesnt just come from young ppl, I get it at work from older women who have had like 3 kids all the time. Comments like "oh have an other one skinny winny", "make sure to eat lots of turkey this weekend and put some mean on yeah". Are you seriouse? Im very happy with my weight and going by the average young female wieght meter by my age and hight, I could lose an other 5-10 lbs and still be in the healthy weight area. Personaly I start to feel guilty or feel like I have to come up with an excuse so they dont think im anorexic or something. I got this way becuase I stoped eating fatty foods, I stoped over eating, I stoped consuming so much sugar. I eat when Im hungry and love to get out and excersise. Not to mention im barly 5'2". The way ppl start to say it... its not a compliment. Either I get the feeling someone is jelouse of me or they think I have a weight problem and are trying to send me the mesage. They way allot of ppl put it isnt very nice. "You have a great body" is nice.... "you need to put on weight" is not nice. |

Those jeans look good.
People always say stupid shit, some people tell me I'm skinny, like ummm ok, I'm like 6'3" and 200lbs. how is that skinny? I'm one of those people that can eat anything and not gain a pound, which kinda sucks because I go to the gym to get big, but all I am is cut, I wish I was less cut, but bigger. Weight Gainer's and eating huge meals isn't doing anything. Although I'm not complaining I'm happy with the way that I look. |

Who fucking cares what people have to say. Its all about how you feel about yourself and how confident you are.
If your 200 pounds and feel comfortable in skinny jeans, and your confident and know you look good, you shouldnt have to defend yourself. I figure if you are covered up (to an extent, skin is sexy but i dont need to see your stomach and tits all over the place), look respectable and feel comfortable then no matter what your weight you are gorgeous. Beauty is different to everyone. I know im not a size 1 and I never will be. But im comfortable in what I wear and I make sure I leave the house knowing and feeling gorgeous. Its about how you present yourself. Fat or Thin. It shouldnt matter. What bothers me is how girls are constantly having to defend themselves with weight. Todays society made it that way.... |
