first raved @ magic mountain II (or maybe I) in 1997 @ the ripe old age of 17.
raved on for the next couple years and then stopped going (until i fell in love with an ultimate raver sometime in 2001). i have not been to a rave since 2004, but i'm sure i'll be posting on fnk til the day my fingers fall off. Last edited by frogprincess; Oct 26, 06 at 04:21 PM. Reason: NOYB |

[quote=projectone;1731376]haha you old fart! :P Do we know the same stickman? Cuz he is still doing the odd party eh!
Matty Nah bro, the Stickmen were a breaks act from waaayyyyyy back in the day. The big headliners back then were Keoki, John Kelly and Bad Boy Bill. I actually used to looooooove breaks before I lost all my taste, musically speaking (just saying it before somebody else does) =) Greg |

^Yeah that was my era too. My first party was early 2000 I believe . . . ah Talk-sic. I still remember my Dad saying "It's not the Tuesdays I'm worried about it's the Wednesday mornings!"
The "rave" thing dropped off for me sometime in 2002 and the only all-nighters I've been to since have been dnb one-off dirty basement type thingos, a couple times a year. |

First dosed in August of 1999. I used to be able to remember the exact day.. I think the 24th?
First rave was at Riverside (but not the more common building) on September 6th. It was called "Golden Groove", and it sucked ass (in retrospect. I'm sure at the time I thought it was awesome, but I was high as a kite). Went to another smaller party that got busted within 10 minutes, then went to Simple III, which was hilariously ridiculous. Then I went to Interstellar Overdrive, put on by the much missed N.I.C.E. production company, and I remember thinking.. "Hey.. I might be doing this for a long time". Now I can't remember the last "rave" I was at. Maybe it was Shambhala! (my third). But I definetly haven't stopped partying. The friends I used to party with have come and gone (to a handful of them, good riddance). My choice of intoxicants has certainly skewed in a different direction. The music has changed and shifted. But the one unifying theme has been: Since the first time I really tried it, I've loved to dance. And that's always been there, no matter what was changing around me. Looking forward to hitting the floor again tonight. |
