Jews In Israel Chant: "We Killed Jesus, We'll Kill You Too!" Swedish human rights worker viciously attacked by Israeli settler A 19-year old Swedish human rights worker had her cheekbone broken by an Israeli settler in Hebron today. Tove Johansson from Stockholm walked through the Tel Rumeida checkpoint with a small group of human rights workers to accompany Palestinian schoolchildren to their homes. They were confronted by about 100 settlers in small groups, who started chanting in Hebrew "We killed Jesus, we'll kill you too!", a refrain the settlers had been repeating to internationals in Tel Rumeida all day. After about thirty seconds of waiting, a small group of very aggressive settler men surrounded the international volunteers and began spitting at them, so much so that the internationals described it like "rain." Then settler men from the back of the crowd began jumping up and spitting, while others kicked the volunteers from the back of the crowd and from the side. The soldiers who were standing just a few feet behind the internationals at the checkpoint just looked on as the internationals were being attacked. One settler then hit Tove on the left side of her face with an empty bottle, breaking it on her face and leaving her with a broken cheekbone. She immediately fell to the ground and the group of settlers who were watching began to clap, cheer, and chant. The soldiers, who had only watched until this point, then came forward and motioned at the settlers, in a way which the internationals described as "ok… that's enough guys…." The settlers, however, were allowed to stay in the area and continued watching and clapping as internationals tried to stop the flow of blood from the woman's face. Some settlers who were coming down the hill even tried to take photos of themselves next to her bleeding face, giving the camera a "thumbs-up" sign. At this point, an international was taken into a police van and asked to identify who had attacked the group. The international did this, pointing out three settlers who the police took into their police vehicles. However, the settlers were all driven to different areas of the neighborhood and released nearly immediately. When one settler was released on Shuhada Street, the settler crowd that was still celebrating the woman's injuries applauded and cheered. A settler medic came to the scene about 15 minutes after the attack and immediately began interrogating the internationals who had been attacked, about why they were in Hebron. He refused to help the bleeding woman lying on the street in any way . Five minutes after the settler medic arrived, the army medic arrived and began treating the injured woman. When she was later put on a stretcher, the crowd of settlers again clapped and cheered. Police officers at the scene then immediately began threatening to arrest the remaining internationals if they did not immediately leave the area, though they had also just been attacked. The injured woman was taken to Kiryat Arba settlement and then to Hadassah Ein Keren hospital in Jerusalem. Internationals were later told by the police that the police had not even taken the names of the settlers who were identified as having attacked the internationals and that one of the main assailants had simply told the police that he was due at the airport in two hours to fly back to France. Earlier in the day at least 5 Palestinians, including a 3-year old child, were injured by settlers, who rampaged through Tel Rumeida hurling stones and bottles at local residents. Palestinian schoolchildren on their way home were also attacked. The IDF, which was intensively deployed in the area, did not intervene to stop the settlers. *** Isrealis have to be the world's most violent people per capita... now someone call me an anti-semite already. |

What an amazing story. DJMarkPaul has been kind enought to enlighten us with this story. This is but a taste of the crap we will be facing in the future.
We all think the world is such a safe place, but its not. All the wishful/positive thinking is not solving the problem that a great many people are facing everyday. There are people all over the world who are being vicitmized for just being the another color, or are homeless/poor, or believe in a different religion. So, the moral of this is that although you are drinking crappy water in Vancouver, there someone getting there head kicked in in Israel for saying no to war. I'm not a pacafist. We need to defend what we own, but its group like ISRAELIES that are given this green light by the USA to go ahead and commit crimes against humanity. The same thing Saddam Hussein is being hung for in a the near future. The New World Order is being fast-forwarded, like something out of Orsen Well's 1984. How can one person look at this and not see that its just another crime swept under the rug, another girl disfigured by people who have been lied to, who think that they killed Jesus and that they should kill others as well. That kind of thinking makes me feel ashamed and frightened that everything people are saying is going to come true. Last edited by P.A.R.T.Y; Nov 22, 06 at 05:50 AM. |

Maybe you should dig deeper instead of apparantly debunking this site. You can call her: Tove Johansson - 0547479225 ISM media office 02 2971824 or 059943157 Why don't you tell her yourself that this story is full of holes? Im sure she'd really appreciate it. So far, you really haven't debunked anything, other than to show that your skepticism is reactionary at best. See if you can debunk these sites too while you're at it: http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/WO0611/S00324.htm http://www.dn.se/DNet/jsp/polopoly.j...usRenderType=8 and here's one for ya I'm sure you'll love: If this was all I posted than I could understand your skepticism. |

well when that Swedish worker is protecting a group of Palestinians you are risking your own life. They teach these kids to hate the jews etc etc etc None of us can really judge this until you have spent time in the West Bank. I was reading through here and there is a response of an arrogant jew they came across and how they wanted to slaughter the Lebanese....here is a little story for you..
I went on a cruise last xmas to the Carribbean and now I'm talking about teenagers. A group of about 7 American teenagers not older than 18 were sitting around. There was this also this smaller group of 4 Jews that were wandering throughout the trip. The 4 Jews made friends with a couple of the girls and they approached the group of Americans to talk to the girls. Well...the hostility shown by the american because " how dare a jew talk to an american" was the most disgusting thing I've ever heard a 15-17 year old kid say. Yeah...the Jews and Palestinans have mastered Terrorism to an art and are both just as guilty as the other. |

Gnostics believe that Jesus willingly gave himself over to death as a means of shedding his body and entering true "Christification."

If you really don't think that this sorta thing could happen there though I sorta envy how safe you might see the world to be. This sorta shit happens every day. *** Capt AA: Oh I don't think there's a clear innocent victim in this process, but just look at how Israel was formed. They bulldozed people's homes and kicked them off their own land, it's an occupation, people have a right to be distressed. I am not advocating racism on any side, both are at fault to their own degree. But to make a crude analysis, Arabs are racist towards the Jews, Jews (zionists) are racist to everyone else. There's no clear innocent victim in my view, but there's definetly the lesser of 2 evils. *** As for the whole Jesus debacle, some of you should study John Alegro and not take this stuff so literally, or maybe watch this clip if you've got 3+ hours. |

_recent notes
_Gun battles have erupted after Israeli ground troops backed by tanks and armoured vehicles raided the northern Gaza towns of Beit Hanoun and Jebaliya…..The army's operations came after Israel's security cabinet said it would continue its military raids and "targeted killings" in Gaza. (aljazeera, nov22) _According B’tselem, the Israeli human rights information organisation, the Israeli forces destroyed 251 homes in Gaza leaving 1,577 people homeless between July and November 15 2006. (aljazeera, nov22) _A close aide to Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian president, has said that the territory's economy is close to collapse….According to Saeb Erekat (palestines chief negotiator) , Palestine's gross domestic product (GDP) is projected to fall to $2.9 billion in 2006 from $4.04 billion in 2005. (aljazeera, oct31) _Hamas and Fatah have agreed on Mohammed Shbeir, a US-educated academic, as the prime minister in a unity government. (aljazeera, nov14) _Financial sanctions and Israel's withholding of revenue it collects on behalf of the Palestinians have made it largely impossible for the government to pay its 165,000 civil servants (aljazeera, nov14) _The legitimacy of the Palestinian resistance group Hamas is being debated in a US courtroom under the watchful eye of the Palestinian-American community. Washington lists Hamas as a terrorist organization. Prosecutors accused two Arab-Americans on Thursday of supporting murder and mayhem in Israel by helping funnel money to and coordinate the activities of Hamas, which was elected to power this January but remains designated by the US as a terrorist organisation. Many in the Arab-American community see the case as part of a broader crackdown on Muslims living in the United States and an erosion of constitutional guarantees of due process and a fair trial. Bassel Abushaban, a member of the Palestinian-American community, told AFP after watching opening arguments with around 50 other Palestinian-Americans: "It's a case the community feels is just the beginning. "Everyone is afraid of even thinking about helping their families. The message that is coming out of this is that any organisation that is helping the Palestinian people is going to be shut down." (aljazeera, oct22) _Cinema in Gaza and the West Bank has been given a shot in the arm by the start of a new festival that aims to showcase female Palestinian film-makers. Public cinemas are very rare in Gaza and the West Bank. Shashan is a non-profit organisation that is screening the best of women's cinema in the occupied territories until December despite severe economic recession, repeated Israeli closures and funding shortages. (aljazeera, oct12) _Palestinian refugees in Lebanon who used to receive money from the Palestinian Authority have seen their payments stop. Refugees live in extreme poverty in Lebanon A considerable number of refugees used to receive assistance from the Palestinian Authority, but that has stopped after an international embargo was imposed on the Hamas-led Palestinian government since the Islamist group won elections in January. Around 400,000 Palestinians are registered with the UN as refugees in Lebanon, the majority of them housed in 12 camps. (aljazeera, oct8) _Hundreds of Palestinians have formed a human shield around the home of a fighter in the northern Gaza strip to prevent an Israeli airstrike on the building. People surrounded the home of Weil Baroud, a commander of the Popular Resistance Committees in the northern town of Beit Lahiya, after he received a warning from the Israeli army late Saturday giving him 30 minutes to leave the house. Baroud is charged with firing homemade rockets at Israel. Crowds of people stood on the rooftop and in the yard of the home. Nour Odeh, Aljazeera's correspondent, reported that it was the first time such an act has been seen in the Gaza strip by residents, but could not say whether it would be enough to prevent an Israeli airstrike. The crowd chanted anti-Israel and anti-American slogans, and people said they were prepared to give their lives to protect the home. "Yes to martyrdom. No to surrender," the crowd chanted. (aljazeera, nov18) *(the UN is currently condemning the “use of human shields” in Palestine) _Operation Autumn Clouds ( recent airstrikes on gaza refugee camps following consistant assaults since june) _Israel's supreme court has rejected Palestinian petitions against the route of an Israeli barrier which will cut them off from their land. The court said they could appeal again if arrangements for farmers to reach their crops through passages controlled by the Israeli military proved unsatisfactory. "The Israelis have, in fact, decided to imprison us in one big cage and surround us," Abd al-Rahim Nitani, a resident of the Palestinian village of Um al-Tin near the three settlements, told the Israeli website YNetnews. (aljazeera, oct29) _The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said on Wednesday that US-led economic sanctions had had a "dramatic effect" on medical services, despite efforts by donor countries and organisations to support private and charitable healthcare facilities in the territories….. "Emergency life-saving services as well as curative and preventative care are jeopardised by the current situation," the ICRC added. (aljazeera, nov15) _The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) is proposing to obtain a UN General Assembly condemnation of the recent massacre of Palestinian civilians carried out by Israeli troops, according to diplomats from that bloc. (granma, nov16) _A Palestinian grandmother blew herself up near Israeli troops sweeping through northern Gaza on Thursday, while eight other Palestinians were killed in a day of clashes and continued Palestinian rocket fire….Fatma Omar An-Najar. Her relatives said she was 64 — by far the oldest of the more than 100 Palestinian suicide bombers who have targeted Israelis over the past six years. (cbc, nov23) |
