I think its time to start my own company
I been doing moves/deliveries for the longest time now got crazy experience, but not making enough $$$ for working so hard. Like working 12 - 14 hour days at $15/hr. doesn't cut it anymore.
I'm thinking of buying a contract from this one guy and getting a truck and do deliveries and moves sometimes. I'm just scared to invest $10, 000 - $15, 000 at one time. Any advice? I'm most likely gonna go in to it with someone else and split everything 50/50. So its not such a huge risk. Like getting the clientel is the only hard part. I like your idea.
You know what most people will say though... FNK is not the place to get advice for questions like these. Soooo... go on Google and search relevant topics that you think you need to know about. And one of the most important things is asking people who have businesses about their success, how they got started, and some tips. Good luck bro! |

Research it before you do it.
Owning a buisness takes more then investing money. And if your just trying to make money, starting your own buisness isnt going to pay out for you for a while. Theres alot of costs involved in running a buisness. |

I'd recommend doing a lease vehicle for your first time out, you can write off more of the cost and you won't have to worry as much about reliability, you won't get the money back from the lease like you would if you bought it, but it might end up cheaper in the long run. That is unless you figure you'll have time to do maintanance, etc.
