who has ever been scammed
when i was driving down the street and two guys in a van that had a electrical appliance logo on the side and the asked me if i was interested in a home theater sound system. i said what the hell might as well take a look and they had what looked like a good system still in the original box. and they had a magazine that had the same system on it selling for 3500 dollars so i bargained with him for a little and i got it for 400 when i was thinking i will just ebay it or something. when i got home i went to there web site that was on the box and it wasn’t there then i was looking around to see how much its going for. and i couldn’t find anything then a found a site and all they were talking about was this fake company that manufactures stereo systems that don't work but make it look like its a really nice system. and when i hooked it up it didn't do anything. im not a gullible guy to but this scam was good so look out for it. the brand name was called kirsh load speakers.

i was going to a trades school for my welding ticket in abbotsford and some guys pulled up beside me in a van just a normal mini van and asked if i wanted to buy a sound system thats retail like 1000. Apparently they were from out of town and needed the money for a plane ticket home. Was a nice system but didnt really fall for it.
Sorry to hear about your loss bro, gotta be careful who you trust in this world |

those guys know how to sell their shit. that's actually a company, you know. they meet up in the morning, grab their gear, and hit the streets looking for people to buy their stereos.
a buddy of mine had a friend (we'll call him geoff) that was approached by them and when he told them that he couldn't buy it they gave geoff a sob story about how they were going to get fired if they didn't sell at least one stereo set up that day so they asked geoff if they could just store it at his house until they got off work so that they would look like they sold one. geoff said sure. they convinced him to put a deposit on the stereo for three hundred bucks just in case he was going to take off with it. he never saw them again. lol. |

i've been scammed before but i haven't been that stupid enough to buy something out of a random minivan on the side of the road.
plus wouldn't you know it was scam right off the bat when THEY asked you if YOU wanted to buy a home theater system? why on earth would they be in a minivan on the side of the road asking random people if they wanted to purchase something from them. on a side note i bought my philips dvd player in the parking lot of rhino's pub for 30$ from some bum on a bicycle and it's still kicking ass. So. The shysters are working the sham here, now, huh?
I saw that at least a dozen times in Onterrible, before I moved out here. Nearly had to start beating the numbnuts who wouldn't leave me alone when I called them on their lies. If they tag you, go along w/ it. Go to the back of their truck, and while they pull out the gear, be copying down their licence plate and make/model of van. Tell them you're gonna ring your "significant other" to tell them to withdraw the cash. While they wait for you, ring the cops from inside your vehicle. Act indecisive for a few minutes longer, to give the cops time to get there. And laugh uproarously when the shysters get busted! Either that, or just beat them to a pulp w/ a baseball bat. Your choice. Frosty (still open-season on thieves) |

That happened to me too, thing is though the speakers I bought out of a back of a van were, and still are, the best pair of speakers I've ever owned! 7years later and they're still solid.
So, I guess some people are kind of legit, so make sure you can sort out the fakes. |

Wow how many shady signs did you miss?
1) Van rolling up tryign to sell you something ???? 2) Get a deal on sound system from some un heard of company in a van... PROBLY STOLEN??? 3) If they didtn make the sound system look like sony or some other quality brand name.... forget it 4) RECIPT!!!!! Always get a recipt incase it doesnt work when you get home!!! Im sorry but anyone falling for this for even a second needs to learn to think twice. Your lucky they didnt grab you and sell you to for slave labour when walking up to the van.
