OK, it does have speakerphone...it's just unusual, you have to press the camera button during a call to activate it.

I have this phone, picked it up the 1st day it came out. It isn't a bad phone, but there some things you might want to know.

-cannot play .mp3s in the background, must have Telus's .mp3 player open at all times
-you have to buy the data cable or have a bluetooth device to transfer .mp3 to be used as ringtones
-.mp3 can only be used as ringtones, and nothing else
-fingerprint magnet
-some people find the scrolling pad a pain in the ass
-no vibrate and ring function (one or the other only)

I don't need a .mp3 player, so i can careless. I like the phone because of the sliding dial pad and the build in camera. I haven't had a nice phone in awhile, so I figured I would splurge. lol. If your a die-hard phone techy, might want to reconsider. IMO its better built then the Razr. If your on Telus, it's probaly the best phone Telus has atm.

I'm pretty sure it plays mp3s...

And why not buy a memory card & reader, plug that in your USB port, load it up with music and put it in the phone? A cable is a waste of money, since the phone doesn't have that much internal memory anyways, and I'm not sure if bluetooth would work for file transfers, a lot of that is blocked for copyright reasons.

You can transfer .mp3s to the player via blue tooth, external memory or data cable. However, if you want to use .mp3 as ring tones, you can only do this via a data cable or blue tooth and using 3rd party software called BitPim.

i just picked up the LG chocolate on Monday from rogers

It definetly is a fingerprint magnet..you get used to it after a while
and mine DOES have a vibrate/ring option..i dont know why the telus one doesn't?
i can't use Mp3 for ring tunes either..which is noo fun
but its definetly a sexyyy phone..its got decent volume, great reception..my old phone didnt have reception on certain parts of the mtn..but i had no problems ANYWHERE with this one. texting is kinda slow if your a faster typer..it misses your letters if you don't wait like a split second between hitting keys..

i still love it :)
