Big Up to Solid for selling tickets at Ticketmaster

After seeing the prices of the halloween event, i was really turned off with prices of tickets due to the greedy people re-selling tickets. Anyways, I made a post on Fnk looking for tickets curious at the prices people were selling. I get $80 to $100. I look online and it seems Solid is selling tickets at Ticketmaster. The surcharge Ticketmaster charges per ticket is lame, but it saves the trouble of getting fake tickets. It's still cheaper for people to buy from Ticketmaster then re-sellers.

I hope this is the future of ticket sales. lol. Sorry, but i have a credit card and I enjoy buying tickets from a legit dealer.

^^ No jacking the thread by any means, but you can do the same for any of our shows via Clubzone. It's the same thing.

Solid has to use Ticketmaster with the PNE as it's a Tickemaster venue. That said though, kudo's to solid to making large quantities of tickets available to ticketmaster for the event. Scalpers making $150+ a ticket are lame.

I loathe ticket master. Half the price of the ticket is usually surcharges. If you look at your bill there's a "convience" charge for $5 or something built into every ticket. Like wtf is that for?

I agree Senior. Pricey for promoters too when you're forced to use them.

Ya, i don't like using ticketmaster either, the surcharges are lame especially when i'm picking up the ticket at willcall or at some ticketmaster dealer. I can understand if there shipping it to my house. Ya Clubzone tickets are always good, cheap and safe.

How much do promoters have to pay? Is it a flat fee or a per ticket charge to Ticketmaster?

I won't get into the contractual details, but it's a lot. A percentage of the ticket value.

i went to a party in seattle over halloween and i think they had very limited actual ticket-in-hand sales..like 10% of the show and the rest of the tickets were presales from ticket outlets like clubzone..and it was mandatory will call style. there were 2 ticket companies and you lined up to the one you bought online from.. it went by SOO smoothly, no one was selling tickets at the door and you needed your whole group with you when you go to the will call booth. PLUS ppl that have credit cards = 18/19+ so it all worked out in the end. best ticket/line up experience.

i love how they have the balls to call it a 'convenience' fee.

yeah, right, it's SO convenient to pay more money for nothing.

apri_peel has a little shameless behaviour in the past
its even more convenient to be charged the convenience fee even if you're picking up the ticket yourself, which isn't even much of a convenience cause you're not being served by a real person and have to jump through all the hoops of figuring out your way online

it always differs from promoter/club.

lets just say I'm very pleased with the contract I worked out with CZ for new years.
