I've never actually tried to make wings on my own, aside from those super tasty ones you just pop in the oven. :p
So I guess this post was kinda pointless. lol

Go to a butcher or even ask some working the meat counter at a grocery store. You don't need to use wingettes though, regular chicken wings are just as good.

^Panago has some of the worst wings I've ever had; I wouldn't feed them to my dog.

Come back when you have a better pallet.

The recipe looks good!
We make our own, we pick up the wings at save on or cosco, delicious! I usually just use a hot sauce to do them though

panago wings = barf
red robin wings = yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum

when i make wings i dredge them in flour seasoned with salt and pepper, then bake for a bit. then i'll pull them out and toss them with frank's red hot mixed with melted butter (sometimes some cayenne pepper) and then it's back in the oven for 10 to 15.

I'd rate them 3/5. They tasted pretty good but next time I might add a bit of sugar and more spice to it.

I'm not a fan of having my wings battered.

If I wanted something battered I'd eat fried chicken.

I like them naked with a nice crispy skin on them.

come back when you can spell palette! hehe sorry i had to. but i agree panago wings are gross.. i think the time process of delivery ruins it too. I always marinate it with "char siu sauce".. same sauce they use on bbq pork.. then just pan fry. really fast way to cook them, and super tastey too. im a sucker for thai wings... not teriyaki..but thai (at earls and cactus). mmmmmm love wings.

the thai wings at cactus are great, they're crispy with a slight hint of sweetness and heat.

Actually in this case, you're both wrong. It's "palate".

the drumettes are dope when theyre battered but the other part of the wing doesn't work as well. battering it makes it seem plumpier and soaks in more sauce. they do a good job at tatlows with em i'd go back today to eat em

Interesting. Is it normal to boil and then fry?

I usually just marinate them and put them in the oven. I'm going to try this technique

Battering is only neccassary when deep frying, right? What do you make the batter with? cornstarch, water and flour?
