the auto focus was all fucked up and not doing what it should have been doing. I took it back to Future Shop so they can send it to Canon to get it fixed.

4-6 weeks.

I don't think it's a problem that would require them to send me a new one. I think they are going to look at it, find nothing wrong and send it back.

Hopefully they do replace some parts to make it work better.
