how so?

you've got your cell phone coverage (quad band 850, 900, 1800, 1900) and you've got your VOIP application that may or may not be proprietary (no annoucements this is all speculative but since it's got wifi, VOIP would be a no-brainer).

Quality of audio for cell phone use will depend on how well apple builds it's phone and quality of VOIP would depend on the program.

Seperate entities.

It's a smart phone. Every smartphone worth it's weight has mp3 playback, video playback, internet access, etc.

The big selling point for me would be the fact that the UI is designed by Apple and it uses OSX. Granted, my guess is the thing will be around $800 USD.
