Dude, we're completely surrounded by an abundance of American chains. More so than any other major Canadian city. That was the first thing I noticed when I moved here.

This attitude used to drive me fucking mental when I worked there. People would walk up and be like "I dont want any of your fancy crap do you have such a thing as normal coffee do you understand meeee??!" and I just wanted to smack them.

it might be possible that I was exaggerating my issues with starbucks for the sake of being a character.

The only thing that bothered me while I worked there and people would ask for a "small" coffee and i would tell the person spotting me at the till "1 tall" ,,, it's just a reflex reaction to repeat back what you know in your mind to be a small, altho it's not a big deal....and then the person across the counter would say "no, i said a small" then i would retort, "a tall is a small" and they would dumbly disagree..."a small!". Yeah for the last fucking time a tall is a small... here's your coffee, have a nice fucking day.

just a funny analysis of working there... but yeah fuck starbucks!
