yea, then i corrected myself in another post where i said that this was another recent video...there's bee a rash, OR IN UFO CIRCLES, A "FLAP", of sightings around o'hare since november.

I've had a number of sightings personally.

Most notably standing by the river in richmond at night with this girl, and we were actually talkin about UFOs and stuff. JUST as we were talkin about it, this huge green glowing light just shot across the sky at inhuman speeds and took off into thin air. The width of maybe half the moon and the glow arc'd a good distance. She saw it very clearly as well.

Possibly, but I've seen lots of meteorites go through our atmosphere, even some of the big hyped up ones. None of them moved like this, none of them appeared so close in the sky you know? You can tell a meteorite etc because it will look really far away and have a smaller diameter + move at a constant speed.

This was just totally different, and it glowed like half the width of the moon which led me to believe UFO. Who knows though I could be wrong!

There's a number of reasons why I believe strongly in alien contact though. Does anyone believe there are souls spliced into human genes from other planets? There is a phenonemon of people who are very wise/psychic/advanced etc at young ages compared to most humans. They even had a spoof about it on ABC, they labeled them "Indigo children" even though they/we*cough* are better labeled star seeds.

They Exist:

Just about 500 years ago people believed that the earth was still flat, 50 years ago people doubted the existence of an alien life, 5 min ago the people of earth believe that aliens existed. Many individuals around the world have reportedly been contacted by extra terrestrial beings. They allege that Earth is currently being visited by several different species of extra terrestrial. This alone is not the only reason we believe in the existence of Extraterrestrial life and UFOs.

Aliens along with UFOs exist because of Government Cover-ups, The Roswell Incident, Extraterrestrial Laws and Government Projects...someday, sometime, and somewhere we will know the answer to all these questions. The government is up to something and what could they be hiding that they don’t want you to know. How long will it be before the public knows? The question that goes through the minds of many now is “Do Aliens Exist?” Luke 12:3 - Therefore whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in private rooms shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.

They do not exist:

This question arises because a lot of people try to argue against such possibilities with citing Genesis. Basically, it is said by some people (Catholics/Christians) that when there is no reference to life off this planet it does not exist. Earth would be the only place where life could exist. The Book of Genesis tells the tale of the creation of the world in six days: of the heaven and the earth, of light and darkness, day and night (1), the firmament (2), the dry land, plants (3), sun and moon and the stars in the firmament (4), animal life in water and on land and in the air (5), and human beings (6). The seventh day He rested.

There are enough devout Cathlics/Christians/religious folk who believe this over and above anything else ever written about UFOs

However to both of these arguments, religion and science has opened our eyes to a wide aray of possibilities, so I still stay in the air with this one. They could be real, they could be nothing. We won't have a way of knowing either until one disproves the other fully.

Whether or not they do exist or not comes down to a belief... either you have a T-Shirt that says "I believe" or you don't.

But both those arguments prove from either side of the fence that they do/do not exist, based upon religion and science

Being digital format one can't truly be sure, but it does look convincing enough. Something more detailed would be nice, this might just be the said hole in the overcast. If that's the case, nothing conventional did this that's for sure.

Is it just me or does it seem really naive/arrogant to assume what a completely alien civilization would do as a means to open contact to our race? I would think they are smart enough to not want to cause a panic and generally would practice non-interference so as not to upset our own evolutionary process.

More open sightings like the Battle of LA and the saucers over the whitehouse really seemed to cause a stir, causing a panic would be about the worst way to break the ice if you ask me.
