Car insurance 2 - $155 Student Loan 1 - $150 Student Loan 2 - $150 Telus (cell ) - $60 Telus (internet/landline) - $60 Car payment - $234 Groceries - $150 Gas - $60 Misc (rrsp, visa, etc) - $400 Entertainment - $200 TOTAL - $1714 Yea..thank god my boyfriend pays the rent and heat/hydro and buys most the groceries. LIVE WITH YOUR PARENTS FOREVER IF POSSIBLE!! I've lived on my own since I was 17 (or with a roomy) and it seriously makes it harder to save money to buy a house/car etc. I have alot of friends who are lucky to live at home and pay nothing! I keep telling them that this is the time to buy a nice vehicle and pay it off in a couple years...or save up a down payment for a house. So freaking lucky. |

there are many different budgets but a good one to go by is this.
35% of your income for Rent 15% for Car Payment 15% for Food 10% for Car Insurance 10% for Savings 5% for Utilities 5% for Clothing 5% for Entertainment you can adjust for your income, if you don't have a car etc. I try to go by this budget. |
