Today i took a day off because ive had to work so much lately, my boss took off to the bahama's for 2 weeks and left me in charge of the shop. I'd work 10-12 hour days come home and spend over 2-3 hours on paperwork (Quoting jobs, running time cards etc) Talk about stress. But i usually only get weekends off

weekends off are great!! but recently i've met alot of retail slaves and we have opposite schedules. sometimes i think it would be nice to work evenings again.... ooooh i LOVE sleeping in. but i try not to sleep in too much during the weekends, cuz ther'es usually too much to do. who wants to waste their life away sleeping? nu-uh.

technically 365 since i work for myself... ahhh the life of an entrepreneur
but i'm a workaholic... so i actually work 6 days a week... the word entrepreneur makes it sound like something nice, like you've already accomplished something.. when in fact it's a lot harder and stressfull... and you don't have the comfort of knowing you'll have a paycheck every 2 weeks... but that's what makes it all the more fun :) when you have like 2000+ in expenses every month (rent + bike payment etc etc) a bi-monthly paycheck seems very tempting... but working for yourself is a lot more rewarding and you don't have to take shit from anybody.. except yourself :) i would never be able to work a 9-5 job.... i wouldn't be able to take starting from the bottom and having people treat me like shit and take like 5+ years to work my way up to a respectable position... but with those kind of jobs.. i'm not even sure if you can move at all in a company in 5 years.. either way.. yeah... |

Sat/sun every wknd, winter break, spring break, all stat holidays, and I have summers off (I currently work a 10 mth job), although if I didn't work atleast 6wks in the summers, I wouldn't survive. Yet, I don't know where my time goes...

Doom doesn't know what type of shit jobs most of you have, but he gets time off whenever he bloody well wants it. He works full time but Doom only ended up worked eight out of twelve months last year (when all sick/vaction/don't feel like coming to work days are added up).
