Fuck black history month...
Why don't we go over the top and get a jewish history month, a persian history month, an egyption history month... or fuck that, we'll break it down into days, since there are too many countries to give everyone their own month.. Does her sorority accept white girls? Why do i have a feeling that answer is no? There is a fine line of being overly proud of your own race, and being racist yourself. I find most people that are overly proud of their race are a bit racist themselves.. Why does everything have to be about race? You made a thread that your sister got accepted into dental whatever... that's awesome... really, it is.. and no i'm not being sarcastic... but then you started bringing race into it, as if anybody asked you... "she read a statistic about black women being married blah blah blah" who gives a fuck? really? why couldn't you have just left it at "my sis got accepted into dental college" ? and i like how you mention "^ yeah, her sorority was the first black sorority in the states. :P" as if anybody even asked a question in even slight regards to that now stfu. |

Lil donkey did say something pretty mean
But he does have a point. A white person who is overly proud of their race is a Nazi. An Islamic person overly proud of their religion is an extremist. so yes it makes sense, people should just try and leave race out of things. |

i think every kid should be put through this exercise once. frontline: a class divided: watch the program | PBS here's a youtube of part 4. YouTube - FRONTLINE: A Class Divided - 4 of 5 i love the comments. they really prove that we haven't made as much progress as we'd like to think we have. anyways, this was supposed to be a lighthearted thread about how my sister didn't end up like her. pls stop shitting on my party. |

Your statement "I heard something about passover as well" pretty much sums it up. You don't even sound like you know what the fuck "passover" is. I don't know what passover is either. Most likely because it's not shoved in my face every year like black history month. and diva, what does your sister not turning into a stereotype of a ghetto chick, have to do with anything? Congrat-u-fucking-lations. I see her as a human, and that she hasn't turned into a fucking retard. It has nothing to do with her being a black woman and not turning into a black ghetto bitch. Sometimes people who are trying to push equality end up MAKING it about race. I'm going to make a thread about how i'm a middle eastern guy, but i didn't end up as a terrorist. then when i'm done that, i'm going to make a thread about how i'm a white person who didn't turn into trailer trash maybe i'll have some time left over, to make a thread about how i'm native, and that i didn't end up sniffing gasoline out of a garbage bag behind shell gastation. Who cares!? as long as she is successful in life, that is enough to be proud of. Who cares if shes a successful BLACK person? |

maybe instead of finding every post i make on fnk and giving me bad karma, you can stand up for your opinion in a non childish way also.... what you do is encourage the use the labelling black people when they dont need to be labelled if you're making threads like "BLACK WOMAN goes to dental school against all odds!" you're encouraging people to make statements like "BLACK MAN gets arrested for robbing a bank" Race is really irrelevant. seems to me like you believe majority of black people are up to no good, when you need to announce race when someone from the black community does a good thing. |

its okay to be proud of where you are from.... and hells yes in some cases it took a while to get 'here' or 'there', so i don't find anything wrong in esi giving mention...have you noticed oprah doing the same thing? There is nothing wrong with being intouch with the history of your culture....if anything she is making a claim to how things have changed...clearly there is still a lot of room to grow.... |
