THESIS:
I'm hot cuz I'm fly, you ain't cuz you not should really read:
I am in demand due to my ability to keep up with society; you lack the ability to do so and therefore your desireability is minimal at best.
I feel this topic is applicable to Awesome U because to be hot and fly generally contribute to one's awesomeness.
PROOF:
This work will attempt to decipher the material and the necessary conditions to be hot, what conditions must not exist, and the application onto others. Please be aware that MIMS was apparently a straight A student, therefore he may already have a facebook, and surely can grace us with his good presence here.
To begin, we must look at the condition of being hot. To be hot is within itself a paradox. One truly is not hot; surely they would be feverish, although I have heard that word is also 'dope' in describing 'ill shit'. No, to be hot only means to be desired - think back to early economics and the simplest of demand curves. The hotter an individual is, the more desired he or she is. Consider this diagram:
One must be important to note that being 'cool' is not the anti-hot, but rather a close derivative of the state of hotness but for the sake of this work we will omit that variable.
Therefore we now have concluded that to be hot, you must be in demand. The hotter you are, the more in demand you are. However, unlike economics, there is no 'invisible hand' to guide our hot market (i tried thinking of a joke involving running my hands through a "hot market" but it didn't materialize here, deal with it). Therefore, what pushes us down that demand curve? As MIMS tells us, it's the state of being fly.
To be fly, according to UrbanDictionary.com, is to be "cool, in style". We must be wary of the usage of "cool" here as to apply the hot calculus and find that it's derivative will always be one, essentially creating a constant. (PLEASE SEE FIG 2:
.
This mathematical proof is only needed for those of you who may get hung up on this 'cool' aspect. Let's therefore concentrate on the "in style" portion, which is merely to be observant of a changing culture and reflect that in the you walk, talk, dress, and act. To be in style is merely to be at the forefront of all of these cultural aspects. However at this level, we cannot simply watch MTV, MIMS after all *is* on mtv, therefore they possess the ability to shape culture. At this pinnacle, Flyness is self-directive; one decides what is 'fly' and others will conditionally follow.
To conclude, someone so far down the Hot demand curve will actually be able to self-determine what is fly and will not be locked in by any constants. Once you have reached the hypothetical "zero point" of supply, or technically "one", flyness is no longer a finite limit.
As for others, they must do their best to compete with limited supply at the far end of the hot scale, otherwise they will find limits on their flyness. If this perpetuates to a situation where everyone is hot, then flyness will only be determined by the "hottest".
