No, I was scared cause me and my room mate got pulled over at the border with over a grand in fake bills stashed inside the car. The cops searched the car, but luckily didn't find the money. Thinking you're about to go to jail for fraud is a scary situation to be in.

When i was in asia i was on a bus in Lao somewhere sick as fuck with dengue fever and we were pulled over by the police. It turned out it was not the police but a local militia type group. One fella came on the bus and walked the isle real slow like looking at everyone, all the while petting his Kalashnikov. It may have been the fever of 105 but i thought we were done for.
The driver paid his bribe and we left. I guess that is my worst so far. Last edited by mojo; Mar 27, 07 at 11:44 PM. |

I like how you're more worried about your beer than GTFO of the car.

A few years back I got a little cocky with my skiing so I tried a double black diamond run for the first time. I ended up falling and sliding down the mountain which was straight up and down backwards. I lost all of my equipment and I was sure I was going to crack my head open and die on one of the huge rocks that was sticking out of the mountain. It felt like I was never going to stop sliding down the mountain and I was sure I was going to slide off some cliff and die. For the last few years I have not been able to ski on any of the hard runs.

when i was 4 i had this random heart problem - i woke up with my heart beating too fast and hard and first went to the doctors, then was rushed to the hospital and hooked up to machines, poked by numerous needles and put under gigantic scanners. i didnt cry, but i also didnt speak. i remember being completely terrified, and not understanding because no one told me why i felt sick.
right before i went in for a colonoscopy - i had the same symptoms my dad had before he was diagnosed with colon cancer. after the test and the nurse said everything was normal it was like my entire body sighed in relief. |

Great stories!
In a highschool grad retreat i saw a horse in a field. i decided to cross the field and get on the horse. my friend took a picture. the horse took off with me on it immediately after the picture was taken. I stayed on the horse for like 4 seconds grabbing it's mein. this was a huge quarter horse meant for like... plowing and stuff. The scariness at this point was about 3 stars. then i got bucked off and as i was flying to the ground going like 40 km/h i landed awkwardly and snap my ankle. spiral fracture on my fibula (sp?) and a dislocated ankle. 4 stars at this point. my friend calls over to see if i was ok. i called back without thinking 'no'. 4.5 stars out of 5 on the scarey scale. I couldn't walk and i've never felt so helpless. until that point i generally always bounced back up to my feet. So my friend goes off to get help, we were FAR away from camp. I'm sure you'd agree, getting on the horse was a stupid thing to do. The horse comes back around and stands by me assessing my injury. i was moaning in pain for about 10 minutes which felt like an hour. he was so big and walking around so close to me that he could have stepped on me, like my head or chest or something. And he did. he stepped on my angle that was already broken. by the way, there were 2 horses within 10 feet of me at this point. And you could see them react to each other which terrified me. He stepped off and his hoof was right beside my face so close i could almost rest my head on it. Then my friends came. scarey level 5. They had to approach the horse which thought of these guys as strangers. The horses didn't exactly stand still and were still REALLY close to me. after 10 more minutes of total pain i was carried off the field (not knowing how badly i was injured)... anyways. scary. i was stupid. but it's a funny/embarassing, scary story. I don't hate horses. i just the insatiable desire for wierd photo opportunities. Last edited by Mr Ektion; Mar 29, 07 at 02:35 PM. |

I think I'd have to say having a gun pulled on me after a Monday night at Cyber near the end of the summer definitely takes the cake. Thankfully, all I lost was my cellphone. I gotta say, I was pretty rattled for the next week after that, but all is well now.
A bit more recently, I was in the back of a Jeep with the top off, and some idiot speeds through a red light (and I'm not talking a yellow-to-red situation, it was red for a while) going at least 100KMH, while we were going probably 70KMH. We just barely swerved out of the way to avoid hitting him. Couple inches to the left, and for sure we're just another drunk driving statistic. |
