bev's right.. if the guy's been paying most of the time during the relationship, it should be the girl or at least a split.

but if throughout the whole relationship, you guys have been going dutch, I think it would be sweet if the guy offered to treat you to their 1-year anniversary dinner....

It should be a eat and run, it'd be so romantic! heh...

If you want an easy resolution, don't eat out. Cook at home, have a picnic, whatever, cost less and it could be fun to try and make meals for each other.

But if you still want to do the whole eating out bit and not running away stealth style when the bill comes, then go half. Pay for what you eat, and they pay for what they eat.
