Tattoos!
Does anyone have any suggestions of a good place to get one done?
I'm getting a Japanese character so I would *prefer* to have it done by a Japanese artist...does anyone know of one??? HELP! It needs to be done next Saturday (the 21st)

Some of my friends have been gettin em lately, they look pretty good. Makes me wanna get one, but I'm gonna wait a bit. I'm thinkin of a crazy lookin lion's face on my shoulder with my birthdate underneath and the word 'Leo' above. The guy said he'll charge me $150.

hmmmm Natalie I dont know of any Japanese tattoo artists myself.. but im sure someone does.
And I myself dont have any tattoo's so I cant tell you a "good" place, but hmmm Good luck with it hun. And I better see it when it's done too, I know how important it is to you.

I dunno, I've been looking for a good place too....
Becca told me of a guy that did her fiance's one for really cheap (and it looks pretty good). His name is Wolf and he's fully licensed n stuff but does them right in his house....604-450-0649. Otherwise La and Ang go to Sinister in PoMo. Lemme know when you get it done on how it went and maybe I'll go there too... *Jen*

Sinister Skin is good but with Wolf you get top notch work and a killer price.
He is fully certified and professional but he operates on word of mouth business. He also runs out of his home rather than a shop. This way he avoids advertisement and shop rental. MAJOR DISCOUNT! And when you consider that everyone is going there based on recommendation rather than an ad they saw in a magazine you know that he's being recommended for a reason.

SHAWN THANX YOU! couldnt remember the name ugh... but yeah shes apparently REALLY good but doesnt have any tattoo thanx to her loving mother...EWWWWwwwwwwwww steal wool. but umm... Nicole and friend of mine from school got chilly willie and the guy drew it just like off the top of his head in like 2 seconds showed her and now she has it its really well done I find but I dont think you wanna come out to maple ditch and get it done :\ oh and Nat when you get it done MAKE SURE you know what the symblo is, cause sumtimes they play tricks on you and out something else down.. heh

The thing about writing a character in Chinese or Kanji characters is that it's best done by someone who knows how to write them and isn't just copying from a dictionary.
Every stroke has to be done in a certain order to make the character/kanji correct and meaningful. It also can take months or years for someone to truly master doing so. I'd stay patient nat, and wait to get the tat from someone who knows what they're doing. M

^--- That's exactly why I want to have it done by a Japanese artist!
The only problem is that it has to be done on a certain date, due to the fact that the art is meaningful and the date corresponds. J'nette - I know the character is right, one of my best friends is Japanese and she did it for me.
