this is a bit different than poetry but i thought id share..i wrote this one night about 8 months ago still trippin on shrooms and e not able to sleep.

~My getting high song~

Takin a puff off tha joint, hittin that bong.
Pass that shit around, you know it wont be long.
‘till things get foggy, happiness all around.
And your feet rise up and your body goes off the ground.


Chorus:
Its the shit called flyin, high into the sky.
I’m not superman, just one high guy.
It doesn’t matter, whether its day or night.
The only thing that matters, is that you’re high as a kite.

Feet slowly landing touching the ground
Looking around me here is what I found

There were Mushrooms, lyin’ all around
Yeah it was heaven, only on farmers ground
I pick up a handful or two, then began to chew.
And it didn’t take long for my trip to switch to something new.

It took a half hour, then boom a burst of energy

The booming music coming from the stage

When this chick walks up to me, smile on her face
She held up a joint, white crystals, it was laced.

I just cant wait ‘till I do it again, at the end of the week.
