Even looking at the worst terrorist attack on the states (11/9) the average American still has to be much more concerned with having a hart attack, getting in a car crash or for that matter slipping on some ice walking down a flight of stairs. These sorts of attacks as far as actual risk are blown WAY out of proportion.
So yeah don't let it bother you...

i honestly dont think we're safe...look what just happened in bali those were all Australian tourists, an ali to the U.S. and russia got bombed as well, alis to the U.S. i dont want to be pestimistic or anything but after reading that article this morn. i felt as if we are next! it could be something small like bali bombing but we're not safe from something to that extent or even worse, we do have alot of terrorists in this country that could do something from the inside...it would sure wake us up and kill our arrogance!
as for Canada being a push over HELL NO! in a state of crisis im sure every last Canadian would fight for freedom, and the U.S. would be right behind us with some serious force...would you let your little brother get kicked around?...thats the way i look at the the states, as a big brother, as much as u may despise them they are still family and family come first!! nuff said, peace!!

do what i do..don't worry about it, aslong as the money comes in, the girls are nice and the music is pumpin its all good.
when bad shit happens, thats when you deal with the matter. its more likely that you'll die from a bad pill then by getting blown up by osama. im just gonna worry about, my own future, and maintaining my limited amount of self discipline so i attain my goals. so i can exploit people and make money of the backs of those less fortunate then me, like any good capitalist would. oh yeah and if we get into some lil scrap you better hope america saves our ass...you think this country full of sociolist pussies and a non existant armed forces can do anything? hah right. Canada is an awesome country full of awesome people but it is far from being powerful in any respect...i like how you guys think were suddenly gonna be invaded by someone now, what osama has planned is alot harder to fight then a straight up invasion, you're help would be useless, all we can do is hope that our leadership has the intestinal fortitude to do whats necessary to end the threat, while at the same time ensuring our civil liberties are infringed upon no further. My major concern with this "war" on terror is not the distant possibility of my country being harmed by a terrorist attack, but rather the most likely possibility that my civil liberties are stript in an effort to combat these "evil doers" yeah and you say you would help defend canada? i don't doubt you for one moment because i would do the same, i love this country. though you have to face the facts..in an invasion your help would be fuckin useless, there are no weapons for you to use, the government wont spend enought money to even equipt their 3rd rate infantry regiments properly, how do you expect them to supply a citizen army with weapons in the extremely unlikely event of an invasion on canadian soil. besides, none of us know how to shoot, playing video games is quite different from shooting real people who shoot back with assualt rifles. i say let the americans take care of the situation, we are in no shape to offer more then token help in the war on terrorism. that is until the government actually starts to fund the military properly, i mean even fuckin denmark spends more per capita on the armed forces then we do. Sure you may say that your willing to fight. But why not prove it by joining the reserves insetead of being a tax paying whiny person. I aint saying go nuts and be all army. Just dont sit there and tell me your willing to fight when your not. You can prove otherwise by joining the reserves and giving as little as 1 day a month of your time. 3 hours. Sooo hard.

I actually think Canada is a wonderful target for Bin Laden. The reason why they attacked the states is because of the fact that they are so proud to be free. They live and represent the western world and so do we. We're hella patriotic and you guys have proven that in previous posts. Well, if people like canada more because we're MORE free, and MORE lovable and cuddly, wouldn't we be a choice target? the fact that we ARE conjoined twins to the USA makes it more plausable for them to attack us to make a point because the guards are up in the states (the world super power) but as you guys also said, Canada has very little funding. we're defenseless.
I don't think that bin laden will attack cities like toronto or any of the other major cities in Canada because, well... what's the use? they would most likely attack figure heads of freedom and accomplishment. Vancouver is by far one of the most beautiful cities in Canada. we have a GREAT tourist base, several land marks, and etc. I love vancouver, but i fear if they ever did decide to attack our country, vancity would be one of the top 3 prime targets. Also, in terms of fighting and taking over. What in the world are you guys talking about? you telling me the taliban are going to fly over in masses or shore land on english bay to take over? I could be misunderstanding, but i really think that if there was a fight, as patriotic as we are and as much as we want to fight back, there aint nothing that we can do about it. Who do we retaliate against? There is only so much cave bombing you can do. what, would we send thousands of canadians into osama's home land expecting something dramatic to happen while we get shot up looking for them? My point? If there was a skirmish in any way, it would be in the form of massive world wide terrorist attacks followed by hiding. hit and run, smile a little at your accomplishment, wait a bit... and hit and run another major target while the last one is in shambles. war fare is a pretty simple thing. it's like magic. don't do the same trick twice. I don't think more planes will drop from the sky, but i do believe major bombings, chemical war fare, assasination or even the pressing buttons on their end sending missiles at us will be their tactic of attack. I just think that having a known terrorist with intent to harm, mentioning our country is just a little scary. Maybe we as individuals are safe here in the lower mainland.. (haha as if bin landin was thinking about bombing surrey) but as a country we need to be concerned about just that.. our country! losing any sort of Canadians to terrorism would rock this country, and being on the hit list makes me a little more weary of just how safe we are from terrorism.

i live next to three of americas biggest targets for military action by evil doing countries (KAFB stealth bombers, Sandia Natl Labs, and Los Alamos Natl labs home of the biggest bombs known to man) and I am not scared one bit....know why, because bin fucken is going to attack a major economic center first....if he can disrupt the markets the WHOLE world is impacted....he knows he lacks the fire power to take us head to head which is why his punk ass is hiding in caves!!!!
so he fucks with our cash flow and we boost military and govt. spending....and since our govt loves getting cash they use those stupid ass color alerts to keep us scared....this week alone there have been close to 10 reports of possible terrorist action....fuck that....i am more afraid of driving down the street then getting blown up by his punk ass cronies!!! breathe easy people, that dogs bark is bigger then his bite....and believe that the US has your bacK!!!!! despite what the cynics say....
