pictures from toronto that i've taken and some other random pictures i scanned today
let's see here...let's start off with a picture of my neighborhood. this is where i live...a block away. it's a night shot...a minute exposure (creating disappearing cars with lines of light) on a cambo 4x5 negative camera....i think i had some ridiculous aperature of 45 or something.

i might burn that big white screen in the picture cuz i'm pretty sure there's an image there...i'll probably need to burn it for about 5 minutes though...i'll try it next week. i wonder what's on the tv screen?! OHHH A SUPRIIIIIISE.
moving on kids...we have a double exposure of...ME. there's two of me. oh dear |

this is a picture of my friend shayne...i call him hot shayne though. not to his face obviously. he's in photography with me. he' s from manitoba and if you can't tell....he's hot. hence the name, HOT SHAYNE. he has a girlfriend though...and she's in my history class. she's such a nice girl...and really pretty. which is a shame cuz unfortunatly this week, i'm going to break them up. what's that, brandy? i can't hear you monica. THE BOY IS MINE.
anyways...back to the picture. it's a panning shot. everyone else in my class is unoriginal and stupid so they took picture of cars driving by. OHHHHHHHHH exciting! i decided to get shayne to hold on to my camera and tripod and i usd a slow shutter speed and i moved the camera to the right and he moved with the camera so he's in focus (for the most part) and the background is bluuuuuuury as fuck! holllllah |

well if you need any help with your AP portfolio, bev, you know you can ask me. I can even sit down with you in december and help you if you want?
you should shoot fire with color slide film! the colors will be so vibrant and you can do so many fun things with slides... here's an old picture i took in vancouver but i found the negative yesterday and printed it for the first time. it's really grainy cuz i used 400 film but pushed it to around 16 or maybe even 32? i can't remember. and when i developed them, developer got onto the negatives and caused the droplets on the left side of the picture. but it adds a nice little effect to it i think. mistakes=good. |

no kidding
sammy it's time to set up a website and start making some bucks off of us for your prints... i'd definately put those up in my place. except for the "city" pic... cuz there's just too many name brands abusing the view. not that it's a bad picture. it's just a bad world. i don't want sam the record man in my living room. |

yes...caitlin and i traded toques for a few months. we share hats. and underwear too.
justin...to get a double exposure all you do is you test out a normal exposure...divide the shutter speed in half and i THINK you divide the aperature in half (that's what i did for the shot and it worked out)...and then you take the first picture...and then you move and you take the second picture..so then your exposure and aperture will be corrrrrrrrrect. that's why i kinda look like a ghost...the dark clothing on me is see-thru and stuff cuz of the double exposure. |
