It can be the best thing in the world, or the worst. I think having that special someone is worth the risk of being hurt though.

Yes I believe there is more than one for all of us (I won't even begin to explain why). There are rules and exceptions to this though.

For example your soul mate could be your kid. Or that you could be reconnected with a soul mate from a past life.

One essential thing I believe is that everything happens for a reason, and soulmates tie in perfectly with this. Finding your soul mate, is more like working your life away on developing yourself to receive such a gift. It seems most people believe they found a soul mate, but simply have no idea how wrong they are. They are in love and happy (may seem like the soul mate is found),but this love is a natural process, a lesson to learn about yourself, until you can develop the better you and then be capable of finding one of the soul mates. Finding one might not be in this life. However, once you find one (one is often enough), you will be settled and meet that soul constantly in other lives... if the two of you wish so that is.

Before you find a soul mate. You should know yourself, and you should know your soul mate.

I say if you want to try to find one, let me know, and I'd love to give you advice.

not anymore, although I did quite deeply for an extended period of time in my life, funny thing is...it was some one I never got the chance to be with, thus collapsing any belief in such things.

I really like the idea of there being one person out there for me who will ying my yang and everything will then be A-OK, but when it comes down to it i have sound doubts.
I think that there are probably a whole group of people on this planet who will satisfy me enough to decide to alter my life for them. The challenge in that is knowing who they are when you come accross them, and being willing to go the distance.

In just about every successful marriage I've seen both sides seem to agree that the other isn't really a soul mate.

What exactly is a soul mate? Compatibility or likeness? If it's likeness it's not going to work out in the end. If it's compatibility then, well, isn't that just a good mate? Why incorporate souls into it?

The whole concept just seems juvenile to me. Like what people believe when they're in their first real relationship...

a soulmate is someone who has seen depths of you that noone else ever has...it doesnt necissarily have to be a lover... can be just a friend.... allthough having your soulmate as a lover would be an amazing thing... dont know how often it happens.. people have a tendancy to pass things by and not open up...so they just never know what theyre missing...

The idea that there is only one person out there for you is intirely inane. There are over six billion people on the planet you have to be delusional to think that only one of them is can be 'soul mate.'

I believe that just because you think you found your soul mate once and it turned out to not be that way doesn't mean you should give up on the notion that there is someone out there for you entirely. I don't really think people realize that it's okay to be wrong about those things, and just because you're wrong doesn't mean you won't ever meet that person again. It's funny that most of the people out there that believe in soul mates believe they have already found theirs themselves.

I think that the universe has a way of attracting the person that you're really looking for, you just have to believe they're out there.
