Where should I go travelling?
So, let me be frank with you guys. I've never gone travelling outside of BC before.
Where should I go? I have a lot of time that just opened up and I wanna go somewhere! Toronto for the Freedom Festival next week? Montreal perhaps? New York for a week? London to check out the club scene??? Do you guys have suggestions or know of any parties that I should definitely check out? Or even better, you know of people who need a breaks DJ from the west coast for a party? |

due to new restraints... I gotta be back by June 2nd to see Dylan Rhymes and Meat Katie in Victoria. I know it sounds odd..
Akeel, I'm down for anything man. If it was the east coast (Tdot & NYC) I'd go for a week. If it was for Europe (however unlikely- but London, France, Germany and Amsterdam feel like priorites) it'd be for 2 weeks. If there was something stellar on the table, I could skip Hush and stay longer. I really wanna check out some top notch music. |

London is really cheap right now
Round Trip flights for $370 Canadian including taxes! Flight Ctr also has a package for aprox $370 including 2 nights in a hotel, excluding taxes Add $100 or $200 for the same deal to france, Coppenhagen or Scotland From any of these countries, you can fly to pretty much any country in Europe on budget airlines for cheap. or take the train etc. Europe has a great infrastructure, it's really easy to get around for a first time travellor and it's safe. --------------------- Last edited by AGROculture; May 11, 07 at 06:46 PM. |

North American cities are great also. But if you really want to see something different and get a real sense that you traveled I'd go to another country to experience a whole different culture.
I don't usually recomend package tours, cause I think they're boring. But Dominican Republic, Cuba & Jamaica among others have great 1 week or 10 day cheap package deals for about $1000, including airfare, taxes, hotel, all food and drinks. If you do decide on one of these I'd recomend escaping the actual resort and going to see the real country, at LEAST for an organised day trip Costa Rica is another hot spot that you can do yourself I made this for a buddy who was going there. Feel free to use the itinerary. It's really easy and amazing! Chigga Rica! <<click here Last edited by AGROculture; May 11, 07 at 07:12 PM. |

I thought he would make a poll on FNK and then go wherever we decide! [quote] That sounds like a great idea! Then I can post it all on youtube for... anyways... Spain and Ibiza sound awesome! I hear Montreal is the place to go in Canada too. I'd only want to go to Toronto to see Freedom at the Guvernment. But that's too soon. A 3 week trip to Europe in July would be amazing and it's what i'm leaning towards. Where can I find $400 deals!? I want to land in London, Euro Rail to France and go to either Germany or Spain to finish it off. So far it's been kind of hard finding parties in the last two countries due to language barriers. tips anyone? Veni, I'd love to (and have always wanted to) go to Asia some time and check out Japan. But I've been dying to go to Europe. Agro Dave, thanks man. That was a dope blog you put together. Last edited by Mr Ektion; May 12, 07 at 09:21 AM. |

I'd go to Jamaica in a second, and I wouldn't be caught dead in their resorts Jamaica travel guide - Wikitravel Speaking of The Carribean, Mexico is a good option also. As for Europe check out either TravelCuts or Flight Centre for those cheap tix. They also sell euro rale passes. travel Cuts has better deals if you're student |

Ibiza is far too played out.
Check out Barcelona, instead. Bali is amazing w/ some great beach raves going on. Cheap, too (once you get there). T.O., meh. Pricey. Cold people. London is fun, but, expensive. But, once there, the air-bus services are stupid-cheap, so trippin' around the continent becomes easily accessible. Amsterdam is a beautiful city, aside from the obvious. Politically, Jamaica has been getting more dodgy, and becoming more unsafe for tourists. Double think on that destination. Wherever you end up going, have fun. Remember the cardinal rule of traveling: when you're packed and ready to go, take out half your clothing and double up on your money. Frosty (has visited the above places) |

Great! So I have an idea of what I want to do. London for 4 days of record shopping and clubbing, then 4 days in Ibiza to check out some spanish beaches and what Ibiza is all cracked up to be (yeeeoooowwww!!!!). Upon Omega's recommendation 2 days in Amsterdam will be followed by 4 more days in France, I'm a huge wine-o so i'm looking forward to this.
but I got a question. If I buy a shitload of records am I going to have to pay for duties or taxes when I get home? |
