yeah thats one of the worst things about vancouver. Lack of land management.

We are crawling up the ,mountainsides and building citys on prime farmland. Richmond shouldnt exist, all that shit should be moderated better, and housing should be developed in ways that slow 3demensional expansion in all directions. As ugly as they are vancouve needs more apartments, but also needs to maintain its green-ness.

We cant keep building massive same house housing complexes on mountainsides and building malls on flood plains.

Honestly, I've been to a lot of cities around the world and none of them compare to the sheer beauty of Vancouver.

Sure they all have their own little quirks; but none of them have the over all beauty or diversity of Vancouver.

I'm one of the few that was born and raised in Vancouver (we're few and far between).

There are so few cities in the world where you can go snowboarding for the morning and then unload and spend the entire afternoon on the beach; that you really have to appreciate it.

To tell you the truth, we're extremely spoiled here in Vancouver, sure our cost of living is higher than the majority of the country; but you have to seriously think about what you're getting out of it.

Vancouver = the happy median for the rest of the world.

If only our job market caught up with level of living; no where in the world would be able to compare.

Looks like they will learn the hard way. When half of the fraser valley has flooded and richmond sinks in an earthquake??. Did you know that most of YVR is below sea level?? Wtf is up with that, do they have 747 float planes??

Nope, but the Tower at YVR has been designed to float on its enormous Concrete Base in case of an Earthquake and Richmond liquifacts.
