So.. where would be the easiest and fastest way to apply for a Canadian passport without having to wait in-line for 8 hours.

Richmond. Average wait is 3.5 hours from start to finish. I believe if you pay with your credit card you can jump the line a little bit... but the ppl I knew who did that only got a head about 20 minutes.

OMG I got my passport today! Only took like 2 weeks in the mail!?!

I'm not sure if theres such a thing in Vancouver, but apparently in Calgary you can drive down a certain strip of road and pick up a cracker jack willing to do grunt work, that ISN'T a hooker or man whore.

you can do that here too, except they are whored out by a company (Labour Ready) for $8 an hour

I lined up at 6:40am... I was between person 125-150 in the line. Made it in the building just after 10am... left the building at about 10:45am. Waiting in line will get you your pass port in 4-5 weeks, paying by credit card and skipping part of the line will take 5-6 weeks to get it. I requested to have it by July 1st so they said they would have to mail it to me. I cant believe it took only 2 weeks though!?!

ONLY if its expired. They will not let you have more than 1 valid passport at the same time. Therefore if you really want to keep it... than you have to apply for your next one after it expires.

Theres a dude I get parking tix from who sits in line from 3am @ the Vancouver office.

He's usually 3rd/4th in line, he'll sell you his spot for a cool $100.

It is a bit devious, but if you claim to have lost your previous passport or that it was knicked you can get a new one and they will simply cancel the other one. As far as i know. Which isn't too far.

get an application online, fill it out and send it in via mail.
lol @ waiting in line.

I got mine in 2 weeks. Costco passport pics are $6-8, and if you dont have a guarantor, take it to a notary public.
