i didn't think that fight was good as everyone made it out to be. Starnes looked meek, tentative, and even scared - who admits that they actually thought the other guy should have won in the post-fight interview?

I've met him briefly and the guy's a monster in the size department. He had a height and reach advantage yet basically let Leben control the pace - nice sweep at the end of the 3rd tho - I think that's what really won the fight for him...

Chuck Liddell was exposed as a one dimensional fighter last night who was used to knocking out grapplers who were afraid to push the action with him. His problem is that like Crocop, he only knows how to fight within his native modality, and the other martial arts are there to just to defend or return to his 'sweetspot' (i.e. take down defense). With time, their opponents figure them out, and they are made to look foolish like Crocop lamely trying to set up his left high kick the entire fight, and being neutralized.

I found it shocking that Rampage was allowed to stand straight up in a TRADITIONAL BOXER'S STANCE. This stance is supposed to be completely antithetical to MMA, but he knew that Chuck Liddell has no transitional abilities, like Shogun or Fedor.

notice how Fedor goes for the right hand lead and then IMMEDIATELY goes for the takedown. This always keeps his opponents guessing and off their game. This is why he outstruck Crocop, even though Crocop has better pure striking abilities. He had to be mindful of the takedown.

Chuck didn't showcase what MMA is all about. He just showed what bad boxing is about.
