Jehovas witnesses
say what you want about them, i love them. not the religion, the people, and the passion for life, love, and thier lord that they share with those around them.
we used to have this adorable old portugese couple come to our house in new west every saturday (thats the only day im home during the day) all the way from the west end, just to give me those awake! and watchtower magazines, and see how i was doing! today im home with a bummed heart and a semi-bummed foot, and another adorable old couple (scottish man, italian woman) comes a knocking, bringing cheer into my otherwise gloomy morning. i invited them in for tea even, and we talked politics, love, religion, philosophy(!) and of course, the end of the world. all of a sudden my lifes problems seem irrelevant.

My Parents and I used to chat with them when I lived in Surrey.
There was the same small group of three or four that would drop by and give us their literature. Sometimes there's some interesting stuff and viewpoints in there. They're nice enough People... it's not like they're cramming their religion down your throat. Good story Bevan! :)

Growing up, my family dabbled in this religion (Mostly due to pressure from my mom's sister) But even though we didnt stick with it a great couple continued to stop by once a month and give us the Awake and Watch Tower. They never tried to force the religion on us. I remember seeing them once a month for the first 17 years of my life.. I miss them!
Those magazines are often filled with great news and information. Not always religion.

im not really that big on either. (edit - birthdays or christmas)
these people dont judge me for smoking pot, drinking, having premarital sex, or anything else they consider to se sacrelidge, but they still come into my home and share thier love and wisdom, knowing full well theyre not converting me. who am i to judge them for what they beleive? haha this is true... prolly another reason why when I was old enough to think for myself, I started falling out of it
most of the ppl in the religion are totally nice and respectful, I mean my parents still practice it and I live with them, they know I do bad shit (not all the bad shit I do of course) but they still accept me and love me on the flip side tho, another reason I got turned off of it was that there are ALOT of hypocrites in it and alot off ppl that lead double lives

haha one time when I was a kid... you kno how the JWs go door to door or whatever, so I was with this guy doing that I think I was around 7 or so, and we went up to a door and the dude was like "you jehovahs witnesses?" and the guy I was with said yeah then the guy was like "FUCK OFF!" .... haha I think that was the first swear word I ever heard *sigh*
I cant believe ppl do that, just say no thanks and let it be...
