thanks for the info Ferrah.

I am trying to keep this as concise as possible because it sounds like this is more of a formality then anything, this time around. I will save the gloating for the interview:P

I have already sent it off, so this time around the assistance won't help. It is for another lifeguarding job. Thanks though FARRAH.

I just PMd you how to write a resume.

Even though you've already sent it off, it's good to know.

Also, for a good read, best of craigslist : Ways to not write a resume.

short and punchy.
It should only be one page unless you are a publishing academic, keep it tight and simple.

Modify your cover letters and resumes to every position you apply for. If you are planning to upload your resumes to job sites, make sure to cater them to categorized professions (i.e. administration, marketing, healthcare, etc). Work experience explanations should be concise and clear. Elaborate on special skills and education if it helps the application. Make sure all contact info is correct and up to date.

While I definitely agree that it should be short and punchy, the whole notion of limiting a resume to one page doesn't always need to be followed, especially if you are applying for a very specific career path and you want to show all of your relevant experience and/or qualifications..those kinds of things can't be limited to one page.

Definitely keep it simple and to the point!

Also make sure you edit it and have someone else take a look at it because tons and tons of resumes get submitted with a teeny spelling or formatting error that can ruin the whole thing.
