Yeah but its soo much easier for everyone to comment on how crummy their summer was than on your statement. Unless you want 27 replys of "yeah your right". Really fnk is just a place for ppl to rant and talk about them selfs with out feeling guilty like there taking up your time and attention.

I spent most of summer in the bush flying around in helicopters, setting the forest on fire, and camping, while making a pantload of cash. In a nutshell, it was amazing.
Too bad it had to end.

I had fun. I worked the whole time with 7 days off in July/Aug, but saved enough to travel for a few months or for a semester abroad. I made a few new friends, worked outside, tanned it up like a mofo and moved house. All in all..........7/10. Not enough action or beach time, but days without work would have helped with that.

work, work, work... 2 week vacation!!!! work, work, work...

I'M STILL GOING TO TELL YOU AVANA. Summer is/has been going well. Tried skimboarding for the first time this summer, didn't get a chance to really go though. Got to take a few trips to Seattle for shopping and Bumbershoot with friends. Hung out with good friends, met new awesome people. Rockin' shows/concerts. Started a new job, which completely changed my freelance hours and made summer a bit less fun. I wish there was more sun, more drunken afternoons, more random adventures.

The whole entheogens in Mexico/Central/South America thing was pretty dope.

i honestly think this has been the funnest summer I've had.

there were a few low points which are par for the course, but the good times were some of best of my life.

chilling with great friends, playing gigs, shambhala.. its been fuckin awesome. cant wait till next summer!

It seemed to go by too fast for me... I spent most of it working and saving so I could afford the last few weeks. Shambles followed up shortly after with burning man. Both amazing and worth it though.
I have spent so much time working towards those two events now though, now that they are over I don't know what to do with all my time :P

to begin with my summer was great....

backpacking through southern mexico, standing in awe of HUGE mayan citys,dodgeing pocket snipers in guatemala, cracking a rib surfing in costa rica (ouch!), being fed a steady stream of jager shots by cool dutch backpacker girls on my 25th bday,feeling a little vertigo while standing on the equator in ecuador,getting some excellent pics and vids to add to my portfolio and never ending doc project.....

but then on the 16th of july,just as i crossed into my beloved peru, i got the news that my dear father passed away....

without question the hardest and most difficult thing i have ever been through.

id say its been a summer of immense change,growth and sadness.

Seeing as it was my first truly "single" summer in over 4 years, I gotta say that I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Beach, boys, Apex was fun. Running my store for a month, not so much awesome.

I now get 2 weeks vacation in September. I think I can handle that.

Weather always seemed to be best during weekdays, which suited me in a way since I work outdoors, but in the end even I was craving some better weekend weather.

I would say summer was good. Worked a lot at a job I love, was sometimes bored when off work, but summer was punctuated by some amazing/zany events like Soundwave, Apex and Under the Volcano that will be remembered a lot longer than any dull days.

And in case you were wondering, on the zany <----> awesome scale, Apex leaned way more towards zany, UTV way more towards awesome, and Soundwave hit the sweet spot right smack dab in the middle.
