If anything the more people who know about these sorts of politics the better. This lady is obviously delusional. Maybe she is just pissed that her pipedream for becoming the first leading Republican candidate never panned out. Americans aren't going to buy into this sort of BS anymore. Doesn't matter. Same behaviour for the same reasons - they want attention and will do anything for shock value to get it.

Giving them the light of day only furthers their purpose of deviating the actual debate into "Do not!" "Do too!" partisanship.

Um, I am sure if people stopped paying attention to the things this beast says the only thing she is going to do is keep pushing the envelope further and further and further so that people DO react to what she is saying. I'm sure she wasn't always this callous.

Except people don't react that way. Only reason Ann Coulter is getting more and more callous is because she's noticing her ratings skyrocketing when she does it. People want to watch the freakshow, so she puts on more and more of it.

If everybody ignored it, get this: SHE WOULDN'T BE ON TV.

Ann Coulter is about one thing and one thing only: Ratings.

That's what happened with Dr. Laura. She noticed that when she started yelling at her listeners to wise up with her rather skewed opinions, her ratings started climbing and climbing. Then her rants got more and more skewed, until eventually everybody said "WTF? This is bullshit!" and stopped listening. And then all of a sudden, nobody really gave a shit what she said. and have you seen Dr. Laura in the news at all recently? Last I saw of it was The West Wing making fun of her by invoking all the outdated and ridiculous rules of the Bible alongside her anti-homosexual ones so quick to be hoisted by the fundies. Everybody's given up on her.

Ann Coulter and Bill-O in particular have recently hit those levels. Now it's just time for us (as a general populous, not just the people that have been screaming about these fuckers for years) to stop paying attention to them so their shows get cancelled due to lack of interest.

Shes pretty hard core and scary for what she preaches. But I have to totally agree with Ebbo. Giving her ANY kind of attention, is attention in the end. Thats all she needs to keep her job. The more the better. Look at how many ppl hate Bush and think hes an idiot, but hes still in power and listened too. Not to mention Paris Hilton, Brittney Spears, or even Chris Crock. It seems our world gives all its attention to the dumbest and least positively inspiring ppl on the planet. When will we learn to stop falling for the lame publicity stunts?

This happens a lot with media personalities, they try to make a career by making informed reports, which ultimatly fails. They find out that some offhand remark that was taken out of context got them the spotlight for a little bit.

Eventually they just spit out any comment that will stir up contreversy, until it gets to the point we're at now. I doubt very much she believes half of the comments she makes. But she makes an excellent living out of it.

On a side note, I've always thought that this is an interesting theory:

What if Ann clouter, and bill o'riely are really liberally bias. The left has a history of having trouble coming to action. But show's like the O'riely factor force the left to research and spread their opinions. I think shows like this force the left to vote, write, and get active.

It's not so much a liberal vs. conservative bias though. Even the conservatives are pissed off about the neocons. What the problem with Bill-O and Coulter is that they're so much up the ass of the main governmental administrations that they merely spew out what the administration wants them to. If they had a conservative bias, that would be great! Maybe we could actually have a valid debate about minimizing impact to the environment and restabilizing the economy - you know, what "conservatives" are supposed to be good at.

They're not conservative, they're just in the pocket of the government, which is IMO far more dangerous than any political ideology.

The United States does not have a major liberal party. They have conservatives and nationalists.
