Working with kids/teenagers on a weekly basis... VERY rarely do I feel pressured to having them. By the way I also work with a lot of older moms who have many birth horror stories. For some reason they seem to laugh about :S

by no means, as a woman, do i feel the need to procreate because i "running out of time". if i want babies, and there is no one that i want to share that experience with, then i would consider alternate means. it it doesnt happen for other reasons, then so be it. quite possibly the most chauvinistic thing i have ever seen you post john. |

Not only do they think that FAS (fetal alcohol syndrome) can be transfered by sperm, but studies are also finding a link with older fathers and their children having autism. No proof yet, but men shouldn't be so sure of them selfs... you could be under just as much pressure. |

My point to Revolver was that studies are now finding that ALSO older men who conceive (with any age women) may indeed increase the chances of his child having autism. Ideally both male and females are healthiest for makeing babies in their teens and 20's. Last edited by R Wellbelove; Oct 09, 07 at 11:23 PM. |

its a pretty hard life being a single parent or being a kid with only a mom, why would you choose that? Last edited by SEAN!; Oct 09, 07 at 11:23 PM. |

being a single parent is hard. my mom was a single parent since i was two, my father has been absentee all my life. in no way, do i feel like i missed out on something or that i was lacking a male influence. my mother played both roles, and when i did need a fatherly male influence, my uncles and other relatives did just fine. if she can do it, so can i. i just get to make that decision with my eyes open, and am not having the responsibility dumped in my lap. ps - this is also 10 years from now if i start to freak out that my eggs be all shriveled and i dont want to share that experience with someone else. |
