noo.... they charged me for the program ofcourse, but I got help from student loans and my folks.

it was roughly 5000$ for the 4-month introductory program I took, the full year program is about 20,000$ :S

Despite me missing the training and the atmosphere that VFS provided, I've decided to continue my education in something slightly more practical than acting. It's a very tough business, and I realized that I don't want to still be living pay-cheque to pay-cheque in my 30's.

Yeah I went to an orientation there and they basically talked me out of it, saying how hard life would be for the next 20 years...or longer..

aaah I see. i do have metis status, but my understanding is that they don't give funding for these types of programs (flakey artsy programs at private schools) - another reason for me to look elsewhere than vfs for my education.

I'm actually just getting a portfolio together so that I can apply for Design at Concordia University in montreal. I'll probably be able to get funding from the metis society for the whole shabang!
