I think McCain will come back for sure over Romney in New Hampshire. Hilary was a surprise considering how much support and money she has. Blitzer calls them the clinton machine haha. It's definitely not over yet for her. |

GOOOOOO EDWARDS!
I love this guy. I wasn't sure how I felt about him until the Spanish debates at UM. My boyfriend worked with him and was absolutely blown away by him. In other news, Tim also worked with Fred Thompson who is a huge ego maniac and a complete dick. He was late getting on stage because he wanted to watch football. Glad to see he has his priorities straight. |

Thing is, you can get the election rhetoric on repeat all night so i watched the docu instead.
Good documentary though, I loved the Obama propaganda they had near the end and the finger pointing at Hilary earlier. It seems international media loves Obama. I hear in Europe that he's getting major coverage. |

dammit i had a nice response written up but my browser froze. I blame the japanesebugfights tab.
Anyways, basically Obama responded to Hilary's main point that he has no experience. He brought up JFK's address stating he would get America on the moon in a decade. Obama infers that if he took Hilary's attitude that he would have told the American people it wasn't possible. Great link there since there are only 2 other presidents (Obama would be 3rd) to go from the senate right into office and JFK was one of them. They are completely playing up this larger then life image in the media and this has capitalized on an increasingly mobilized American youth vote. The youth played an enormous part in Obama's support recently because Hilary, to that vote, represents the status quo and business interest. She is a political machine though and she has a lot more cards up her sleeve then we can imagine i'm sure. I'm interested to see how this youth vote plays out in the states because it's always completely absent from political analysis. Either way i don't trust Hilary at all. Obama is inexperienced so it's hard to tell from a trackrecord how he will perform as president. He seems a lot more trustworthy then Hilary at least. |

Ive always been on the fence with Hillary and Obama, but after her sympathy cry fest and realizing that experince could be a bad thing, Im all over Obama.
Its like compare it to an old experienced teacher (Hillary) and a new fresh teacher (Obama) Although older teachers always know what to do and how to do things, they're also always stuck in their own ways and dont like change. When I see new teachers who seem stressed and are constantly learning from ther're mistakes, I also see them trying new things, trying to make things better and essentially trying harder to prove that they are just as good. Hillary has a lot of ties and buddies in the political field and is probably high in debt with favors if she wins. However Obama has hardly any of that with his lack of experince and seems like the only one who will truly bring change. Last edited by R Wellbelove; Jan 08, 08 at 11:36 PM. |

I'm leaning more towards Ronmey.
It's true that he is the big M, and a lot of people are a little uncomfortable about that. Ultimately, I think at heart he's a businessman, and he'll run the country like a business, and that's what the US needs right now. |

Here's an interesting thing to pay attention to. I wonder how many Hill-dawg wins are going to be on Diebold electronic voting machines (like in New Hampshire) versus how many Obama wins are on paper ballots (like Iowa).
Still don't trust the diebold machines. Americans should be furious about those things. The fact that they're still using them means that all counts in this election are suspect. |

I'm really surprised by all the talk of Clinton's NH win being called a 'massive comeback.' If memory serves, she was solidly leading that state in polls for many months and only dropped after Obama pimp-slapped her in Iowa. And even then, it was a narrow victory in NH (2%, or a couple thousand votes).
But then what do I know about yankee-doodle politics? I'm just a krazy canuck. |
