I'm off to India in a month! That's nothing because it's just cars. Throw in 1000's of pedal rickshaws in there, herds of cows, goats and a few camels. And a bunch of suicidal Indians running across the street while the cars (that don't stop or slow down for anything) race at them.
India is a really safe country when it comes to crime, traffic is a different story. In one bus trip we got in 3 accidents. 1 time the entire bus hit such a big bump everyone got pushed out of their seats and into the ceiling! Trains are much safer for long distance transportation.

Vietnam is pretty chaotic also with all the motorbikes. However it's surprisingly easy to crowss the street. You just need to go, and not make any sudden movements and they'll all go around you, like magic! I'll be there in May!! Can't freakin wait, I love it there.
Driving drunk on a motorbike without a helmet is suicidal, but out there it's no big deal! I have to be more careful this time

^^haha yeh that's what i found too. In high traffic situations in other countries it's best just to walk into it with the same flow and everything just works out haha.

I don't know I have a friend who owns a nightclub in Nha Trang. He lent us a couple motorbikes and we learned for the first time ever to ride (without helmets) in the chaotic traffic. He just said never stop or slow down much, just honk and people will just get out of the way.....it worked!

So we rode through the countryside to their families house where we had a great big dinner. It's tradition that when the male of the household says 1 2 3"yo" which means cheers. You must chug back the entire beer, rice whiskey etc

He wouldn't stop! Drink after drink after drink. If I said no and point to the motorbike he would just laugh and say yooooooo!!!! I had to resort to filling my glass full of ice and beer so it's less beer haha.

The ride home was interesting to say the least! I survived!

best drivers ive ever seen have been in south east asia and southamerica...

didnt see one accident.

basically its a freeforall so people are super defensive and on alert at all times.

here,our rules are so rigid and tight that if anyone deviates or fucks up then it all gose to shit and people crash....

word,but i bet thats pedestrians getting smoked by crazed drivers rather then driver vs. driver collisions.

im telling yall's i nearly fucking got killed by a bus one time,driver saw me,did not care,old lady grabed my pack just in the nick of time...

im honestly a little nerved just thinking about it:cry:
