when i realized my granma was sick and she wasnt going to get better. what is worse is seeing her in pain, she cant do what she did in the past, and it seems like she has given up on her faith because she used to say it would be alright because she would be with grandpa. i know its upsetting now but when she passes thats when my entire family will be even more fucked and im not looking forward to it.

My grandma is getting really old now. She had a heart attack yesterday, and is recovering in the hospital, but it's been a wakeup call for my whole family that she's probably not going to be around much longer. I teared up today, but I couldn't completely cry, realizing that she will probably not be alive when I finally do get married. I'm not even sure if she'll be around next Christmas. I'm tearing up again as I write this. It's hard.

karmas to both of ya for sharing personal, ....my closest g-ma passed in 04,its difficult but a a part of life.
but, i never knew what crying really meant till i lost my dad this past summer......

last week I watched PS I Love You with my best friend
I didn't cry because the movie's sad so much as I cried because I know what it's like to lose the person you love more than anything in the world, and because I can't imagine going through that again.

Thank you. I got to visit her today, which was really nice. My other Grandma passed away in 2002, and my grandfathers passed away before I was born and when I was a year old. It's never easy, but you're right -it's a part of life.

I can't imagine how hard that summer (and longer, I'm sure) was/is for you.
