my friends - i'm trying to throw a club night.

This is pretty much an "are you interested?" post

A brief description of what we're doing. I'm working with a co-worker at shaw who plays progressive, a guy I helped out with in throwing the solstace sound lab parties a long time ago.

and myself who assisted with bringing out liberator on my birthday.

So there's no sketchy promoters here.

We're looking at sometime in spring, a one off night featuring live PA and dj's.
We're looking at longwalk, in fact he's already down for it.
There will be progressive and all that jazz BUT. Who cares if no one is coming out to party and drink till they're stupid... right?


We all know at this time, it doesnt matter if you're a shit dj as long as your bring out a crowd.. WELL, i'm looking for good dj's that will also bring out a shit load of drinkers. I dont want to have to tell the club to turn off the water.


I'm not asking for help, but i am asking for opinions and there are a lot of bitter jerks on this board but the reason they're bitter is because they know what's going on.
I've thrown all night dance parties and they have been succesful but clubs are something new to me. So opinions are more than welcome.

Bitter jerking aside, I know we're not chums but we've met a few times I can barely remember and it was always on hilarious terms. I'll help however I can. I should be in town around then anyways. PM me with details.

At the very least, I'll bring a rag-tag posse of alcoholics.

we're party acquaintances. That's 90% of the people here are party acquaintances. We get shittered together and we dont talk until the next party.

The other 10% are friends that I would bend over backwards for.

those that know me IRL know that i litereally grew up with automatic.

a part of me is sad to see it die but,Rest In Piece, along with my late teens early 20's lol...

marty im not down so much with the progressive or trance but if you throw some electro/electro-rock in there ill check it out.

the best way to go about it is to actually pick up a domain. as terence (soo) has told me, if you wanna go pro, spend some money on it.
So pick up a domain, host your mixes, have a nice website and submit the shit out of it.
