Free stuff

After pillaging the career fair at school for a very exciting variety of pens today (some are even highlighters with post-it page marker dispensers, a-freaking-mazing), I got thinking about how it is impossible to resist free stuff.

Even if it's something completely lame or I had something very similar but got rid of because it was useless, I still feel the need to have said free crap. I'm sure everyone does this, but why???? Why is it so hard to resist?

The place that gets me the most with 'free' stuff is the liquor store.. If I'm trying to decide between 2 different kinds of booze and one of them comes with something (shot glasses, mini bottle, whatever) I always end up with the latter.

when i was a teenager, i would ALWAYS go out of my way all the time to find free samples online: oil of olay, herbal essences, soap of all kinds, etc. i even remember always using wacky names instead of my real name in my address. lmfao. the north delta mail carriers must've thought something was SERIOUSLY wrong in my culdesac. oh god!

I love orientation days at school. I pick up enough supplies to last me through the year. Free pens, note paper, pads, post its, pens with highlighters, key chains, subscriptions, i love it. Last semester all i had to buy was a calculator, everything else was supplied by the sponsored orientation day.
