this guy has the nerve to say that debating the Afghan mission is getting our soldiers killed. being in Afghanistan is getting our soldiers killed and will keep getting our soldiers killed. does he really think that people over there are watching CNN going "hey Canadians are debating whether or not they should be here lets go kill them." realistically he's just trying silence debate by essentially calling it unpatriotic.

As much as I agree with your view on this I think the real message that he is trying to bring across to parliament and to the prime minister is where exactly are we standing on this so called "war against terror" in afghanistan.

Canada is the major player when it comes down to the missions in Afghanistan. And the frustration is clearly building up because there is no other U.N/NATO allie that is stepping up to the plate... Including the U.S when in reality its THERE war... Harper told Bush that we need help with other allie's including of course the U.S and Bush said that he would send a shit load of troops... But that was nothing more then telephone call and nothing has been signed since...
