I Shut Down Burger Crack!
I'm sure some of you remember in your self proclaimed 'raver' heydays, meets at the ever so illustrious Burger King, formerly gracing the corner of Robson and Granville.
So last week on Wednesday, I succumbed to the rotting flesh of whopper wednesday. It was maybe a year or longer since I've decided to grab a burger here so I was like wtf ever. I had a whopper of a time waking up at 3am with my stomach churning the worst food poisoning ever. I hardly ever eat fast food anymore and it being the only thing I had for the day, followed by a second whopper, just gave that cow the best revenge possible. After vomitting bile and needing to get put on an IV since I couldn't hold down any water, things subsided. I called the health inspector the next day. I was gonna come in this wednesday to photograph all the burgers they kept ready to be sold (instead of being made freshly as is advertised on the BK website) ... but the place was gutted like a fish. No deep fryers, nothing, just a sign saying it's permanently closed. So yeah bitches, if you walk by there and your heart skips a beat due to nostalgia's sake, you should just forget about all that dumb shit (like blocking the sidewalk) and grow the fuck up, burger king is crap anyways go eat some real food. :) |

Food poisoning is one of my worst fears. Sometimes you're eating at a really sketchy place but you don't want to say anything to make your friends worry. So instead you eat it and pray with each bite that your insides don't try and kill you for it.
You're just lucky you didn't get ecoli or the Dr. woulda had to give you the finger test lol. |

Apparently, they were scared that Mark would file a case against the company, thus landing them in a multi-million dollar lawsuit.
It was better for them to re-locate then deal with a lawyer that would have exposed their corrupt practices. or... They were going to move anyways and Mark never got the vengeance he was so eagerly seeking that night when he attempted to deal with the management. I think it's not so hard to believe that someone in an office somewhere heard about the complaint and made a decision. Stranger things have happened. On the other hand, McDonald's recently moved on Granville street, so maybe they are pulling a copycat. I can't decide, what do you think? |

i remember frantically trying to drive home after projectile vomitting all over my then ride, a late model honda civic. stopping at a light in front of a hairdresser while one of the young workers was having a smoke break outside, she stared at me intently as i hurfed during the entire duration of the red.
i was well 2 days later, only to have to drive my 48 hours ripe car (with windows down in the rain for the smell) to my parents place in north van to clean it out. |

Therefore I woefully admit that the rest of the sign corresponds as such, it just didn't seem as relevant while I was doing my victory dance. However the BK at Robson and Granville as we know it is dead, so nenernener. *contemplates future firebombing* |

i read somewhere that BK plans to hire guest workers from the Philippines.
lil caesar's is going to implement this cost-saving scheme since they can't afford the costs of hiring domestic workers. Church's Chicken was founded by Pinoys. no doubt, even McDonalds will hire guest workers too, in wake of the failed attempt to unionize the Squamish branch. so, domestic employees will need to know more than English, and should use some of their hard-earned money to study Cantonese, Mandarin, Punjabi (in Surrey), and Tagalog. i don't care, as long the Spicey Buffalo Chicken Wrap is spicey and still under $2.
