Sensation of stimuli, interpreted through your perception, creates 'knowledge' within the individual, which they can restructure using their mind into new things using their imagination.

I have to vote for knowledge because it's a necessary precursor.

sometimes too much knowledge can make you biased and can inhibit your originality.

I've always thought of knowledge as empiricism, whereas imagination is something like Galileo or Einstein's Thought Experiment.

There is no 1 true definition of what knowledge is or if it even exists.

Those two concepts are not in binary opposition or mutually exclusive categories so you can't exactly pick one over the other.

You need an imagination to know or understand concepts, and without pre-existing knowledges we have no foundation to imagine.
